🚀 Learning About Reseller Agreements for Singapore-Based Clients 🇸🇬 I recently had the opportunity to work on an assignment from Law Sikho, where I gained valuable insights into drafting and reviewing reseller agreements for clients based in Singapore. Reseller agreements are critical for businesses that wish to resell products or services to customers while ensuring the protection of both parties involved. Here are some key takeaways from my experience: 1. Clear Definition of Roles: The agreement must specify the roles of the reseller and the supplier, including their responsibilities, territories, and target markets. 2. Intellectual Property Protection: It's crucial to protect the intellectual property rights of both parties, especially when dealing with branded products or proprietary technology. 3. Payment Terms & Pricing: Clearly outlining pricing structures, payment terms, and commission rates ensures transparency and helps avoid future disputes. 4. Termination & Renewal Clauses: Having a well-defined termination process and renewal terms is essential for maintaining a smooth business relationship. 5. Compliance with Local Laws: Understanding the regulatory landscape in Singapore, including consumer protection laws and data privacy regulations, is vital to ensure the agreement complies with local legislation. This assignment has truly enhanced my understanding of international commercial contracts and how tailored agreements can facilitate successful business partnerships. Looking forward to more learning and sharing! 💼✨ #ResellerAgreement #LegalInsights #Singapore #LawSikho #CommercialContracts #BusinessLaw #InternationalTrade #ramanuj #komal #Zebaibrahim #RajnandiniChoudhary #AmrutaKulkarni #lawsikho

Real Estate & Money Laundering: A $400B Global Crisis 🏢 Alarming fact: Real estate accounts for over 30% of criminal assets confiscated worldwide, making it the preferred sector for money laundering. Our latest analysis reveals why property markets are increasingly vulnerable to PEP-related risks. 🔍 Key Risk Indicators: Luxury Properties: High-end real estate above $5M shows 5x higher risk of money laundering activity. Recent cases reveal properties in London, Dubai, and NYC being purchased at 40-50% above market value to layer illicit funds. Complex Ownership Structures: Over 70% of investigated cases involve layered offshore entities. We're seeing a rise in sophisticated networks using 3-4 jurisdictions to obscure beneficial ownership. Regional Hotspots: Data shows emerging markets with rapidly growing real estate sectors face 3x higher risks due to limited regulatory frameworks. Cities like Bangkok, Jakarta, and Manila require enhanced due diligence. 📌 Compliance Action Steps: Implement automated beneficial ownership screening Establish clear source-of-funds verification protocols Document property valuation methodology Set up transaction monitoring for suspicious patterns Maintain detailed records of all due diligence performed 💡 Ready to strengthen your real estate compliance program? #RealEstateAML #PEPMonitoring #ComplianceMatters #AMLCompliance #RiskManagement #RealEstateCompliance

I can still see the issue of lapping persisting in dealership operations, banking, and various sectors in Indonesia. This challenge isn't limited to a single dealership but is a widespread practice in business. When making payments for cars or services, it's crucial to ensure the payment goes to the company's bank account, not the sales representative's. In some rural areas, close relationships between customers and sales representatives lead to payments being made to the salesperson's account, risking misuse of funds. This practice, coupled with the high turnover of sales representatives, poses financial risks to customers. Both management and customers need to be cautious. Educating customers, providing information, and implementing regular checks & SOP are essential steps to mitigate these risks. Have you ever encountered this issue?

Hey guys! We have grown 20%! Then comes the #management question: Why? #Marketing will say "It's because we've developed a great brand." #Sales says "Well we are phenomenal at distribution!" #Finance will say "Because we're ensuring capital adequacy." And #Legal says "We're not so sure, we'll give you an opinion in 2 weeks." Any report you can draw from various departments will only demonstrate their version of the truth. But finding the truth is about reaching the single conclusion to every question. Before heading to August, have you taken a half year break yet to lay back, recharge, reflect and find the conclusive truth to what makes every part of you focused and disciplined to achieving goals? #Tanzania

Knowledge Sharing: We need to design a structure communication or propaganda to combat money laundering, fraud and financial scams activities. Harold Lasswell developed his communication model during the time of World War II, primarily to analyze media propaganda and its effects on public opinion. As a political scientist, Lasswell was deeply interested in understanding how messages were disseminated through various channels to influence the masses. Lasswell’s model of communication is based on five key components: 1) Communicator, 2) Message, 3) Medium, 4) Receiver, and 5) Effect. These elements represent the basic questions of who, what, through which channel, to whom, and with what effect Sir Nazri Kuala Lumpur #malaysia #awareness #awareness#dakwah #sirnazri #education #knowledgesharing #knowledgesharing #aml #followthemoney #dakwah #dakwahislam #propaganda #media #communication #Amla
