There was no one to guide, no one mentor, no one to say it's ok to fail. It was so difficult to get financing from banks. Or to say it's ok to start over. But people in the US, in Silicon Valley, are exactly saying "don't worry, it takes time. It takes minimum 10 years to succeed as an entrepreneur." 👉 When you start #angelinvesting, it's very important to have a strategy and approach it as any investment asset class When I decided to make my first #angelinvestment in late 2021, I had no strategy. However, I knew that I wanted to be committed and build a portfolio 🌴 Building a portfolio is part of your strategy, and certainly the most underrated advise. Several studies and mathematical simulations have shown that it takes investing the same amount of money consistently in at least 20 to 25 companies before your returns begin to approach the typical return of over 20 percent Sim Simeonov, a veteran software-industry entrepreneur and angel investor, has produced a detailed proof of this thesis (see graph below) 💡 Tips: 1. Evaluate how much you are willing to invest over the next 5-10y. 2. Write consistent check into multiple startups to reach 20-25 startups in your portfolio 3.
