National Air & Space Camp reposted this
This past week I assisted on the #AirandSpaceCamp by using my newly found skills from the Qualified Aerospace Instructors Course, in which I qualified from in April of this year, to instruct and pass on knowledge in; Air traffic control, Simulator Training, Air operations and Engineering. This opportunity allowed me to deepen my instructional skills in these specific domains as well gaining further knowledge in which I could continue to pass on. On the Monday and Tuesday, I was in the Visual Control Room. In this module we had three cadets on flight simulators who would fly circuits around #rafcranwell while another cadet would be sat at the top of the specially modified Runway Control Trailer, using their Pinboard and synthetic windows to control the three in the circuit. This is a special opportunity for the cadets to learn and understand aerodrome control. On the Wednesday I attended the #nasc Industry Day where I was able to connect with more than 70 industry partners and leaders in the air and space domains such as; Inzpire, BAE Systems, British Airways, Royal Air Force (RAF) and Civil Aviation Authority. This has equipped me with the knowledge of the opportunities that are presented to myself, in which I could pursue in the future. In the morning I had the pleasure of escorting some senior members and Industry partners attending, around the site to demonstrate training opportunities presented to cadets on the #nationalairandspace camp. One of the Senior members I encountered was the Regional Commandant for Wales and West Roger Simon, who gave me a great in depth view my region and its plans for the future. #RAFAC #WhatWeDo #NASC #AirCadets #NoOrdinaryHobby
