Dogger Bank Wind Farm has signed a vessel reservation agreement with Seaway7, part of the Subsea7 Group, to charter a second turbine installation vessel to support the ongoing delivery of the offshore wind farm off the coast of England 🚢 Starting in 2026, the Seaway Ventus jack-up installation vessel is expected to commence turbine transport and installation work of GE Vernova Haliade-X offshore wind turbines at the Dogger Bank site. 🆕SOV concept for floating offshore wind farms incoming... It's great to hear about this collaboration to create a new SOV concept specifically for floating offshore wind. Given the growing pipeline of potential floating offshore wind projects, developing support vessels and other infrastructure to cope with the specific challenges presented by floating offshore wind makes a lot of sense. Improving the transfer process between vessels and floating platforms would offer significant safety and efficiency improvements during offshore operations in the deeper waters utilised by floating wind farms.
