https://lnkd.in/eaneM4w3 NYSABA echos the concerns of our colleagues from the field of Speech, Language and Hearing, as well as many others, regarding the Early Intervention Program. Licensed Behavior Analysts (LBAs) and Certified Behavior Analyst Assistants (CBAAs) have only recently been recognized as Qualified Providers in EI. After waiting an excruciating time for the release of the EI-Hub, the system has been fraught with errors and delays, which directly impact client services. Children in Early Intervention have been without access to LBAs and CBAAs for too long, and that denial continues to exist with the broken EI-Hub system. Children and families deserve access to qualified professionals who are experts in their fields. Additionally, those expert providers deserve to be paid an equitable rate for their services. The 5% rate increase for Early Intervention Providers is an overdue investment in this crucial life-changing program for NY families.
