#SpacesForListening > https://lnkd.in/emKRADuC Brigid Russell and Charlie Jones introduce Listening Spaces, the online initiative they set up jointly in lockdown (May 2020) to give people somewhere to both listen and be heard. Sessions are held twice a week, one during the day, and one during the evening. There is no charge, and no one is selling anything. "What does it take to truly #listen to another person, to understand more of what is going on for each of us in these shared moments? How much (or rather how little) do we need to know about someone else in order to be interested enough to listen to them fully during three rounds of two minutes each? How much and how quickly can we feel enough trust – as strangers – to be there with each other, being ourselves, in this temporary community of enquiry?" #Art: by Ingrid Nilsson - https://lnkd.in/emFteVtv

It's important to stay connected when you've made a big move. 1. Schedule video calls, phone chats, and email exchanges with friends and family. 2. Join clubs, groups, or classes. 3. Attend events, volunteer, or join a neighborhood association. Weaving yourself into the community can help you feel included and build meaningful connections. Remember, connection isn't bound by geography – nurture existing relationships and embrace the opportunities for new ones.⠀ ⠀ P: (408) 691-1317 E: timothy.goulet@compass.com Changing lives through real estate, results that MOVE YOU!

Is art an important element in democratic life? Studies show that public art has a host of benefits for communities. Its community-building powers can combat feelings of anxiety and social isolation. When locals participate in creating public art, these effects are amplified. Will you get involved in helping to decide what the next public art installation in St Neots might be?
St Neots’ new public art project needs your help. You could win £25 at the Chaii Hub. Have you got 60 seconds — we want to know what you think makes our town special. Please share your thoughts and help shape the Heartbeat of St Neots, our exciting new community art installation. Survey is https://lnkd.in/eaCscv8e

Our Future High Streets and Town Centres are often a discussion point. How do we involve teenagers? How do we bring in new people, to animate, activate, participate? How do we reimagine our towns and our neighbourhoods? Playful does run hands on, analogue consultation & engagement processes. We also do work alongside communities who actually transform their neighbourhood parks and green spaces. We catalyse, create and involve people in their civic and public spaces. Why don't you book us for fun, fresh, imaginative processes to galvanise a gathering, increase dwell time and repeat visits, but also connect people with the art of what's possible, right where they live?
