PTC and Makersite team up to make #PLM smarter, together. We’re making it possible for product development teams to access product sustainability, compliance and risk insights directly within their workflows. Our integration with Windchill, a PTC Technology will provide unified insights across these criteria, at the product portfolio level, in near-real time. It will enable engineers to leverage past designs as well as fragmented data from other systems, to automatically build rich digital twins of their products and evaluate tradeoffs at every stage of development. Engineers will no longer need months of effort or specialized experts to gain these insights. In addition to supporting the growing reporting requirements, this will lead to faster development of more sustainable products. At Makersite, our mission is to ensure that every product put on the market is the most sustainable it can be. We achieve this through Product Lifecycle Intelligence (#PLI), and this partnerships takes that mission to new heights. I am excited for what this means for our shared customers and the future of sustainable innovation! #Innovation #Sustainability #ProductDevelopment #PTC #Windchill

CAD Innovation and Components Standardization: My Takeaways From the Siemens PLM Component Conference in Boston This week, I had the opportunity to attend the Siemens PLM Component Conference in #Boston. It was an interesting event, where Siemens Digital Industries Software and companies using Siemens components discussed their use of PLM components, offering valuable perspectives on the future of CAD and PLM. One of the key takeaways from the conference was the potential for shared components to change the product development for manufacturing. Companies are increasingly leveraging Siemens PLM components like Parasolid and JT to create streamlined, interoperable solutions that enhance design and data management. Will such a trend continue and expand? How global manufacturers can optimize production processes and improve efficiencies through standardization of shared technologies and online services? The discussions also raised questions about how CAD and PLM innovation will continue to evolve, particularly regarding the role of cloud-native technologies and shared services. Siemens’ commitment to interoperability through shared components is clear, but it’s the potential for future shared services—delivered online in an open, scalable environment—that excites me the most. These advancements promise to drive further agility and innovation in the PLM landscape. Great line of presenters from Siemens Digital Industries Software, perfect organization (thanks silvia peruch), amazing and insightful company presentations and people Shapr3D, Onshape, a PTC Technology, nTop SimScale Tony Hemmelgarn George Rendell Jon Hirschtick István Csanády Blake Courter Monica Schnitger Paul Chastell Ralph Verrilli Gal Munda, CFA Evan Knuttila Tom Gill and many others. #plm #3dcad #events #boston https://lnkd.in/ev4dUcFV

"Siemens demonstrated how its portfolio of shared components enables seamless data exchange and collaboration across various platforms... By building on these components, companies can not only ensure interoperability but also drive the development of next-generation tools that address the ever-evolving needs of engineers and manufacturers." Thank you, Oleg Shilovitsky, I could not have said it better myself! Duplicate, conflicting, or incompatible systems can find their way into organizations over time and through acquisitions or mergers. Standardization provides a strong foundation for innovation. Digital technology changes at a rapid rate, and that rate of change is always increasing. Now is the time to empower your development teams with the tools they need! #PLM #Innovation #Siemens #Partnerships

Manage engineering activities completely automated Our solution supports CAE engineers in handling engineering tasks with maximum efficiency through reliable and repeatable processes. The Digital Engineering Center (DEC) offers a fully automated cloud environment to manage applications optimally and plan workflows efficiently. Challenges: ►Complex Workflow Integration: Engineering workflows in the cloud often require linking a series of commercial and internally developed applications. Engineers frequently lack the expertise to formalize proven simulation procedures into a repeatable process in the cloud. ►Lack of Flexibility: The inability to adapt tasks and projects to processes flexibly extends release cycles and delays the market introduction of innovations. Capacity Drain: Managing complex development projects consumes a significant portion of engineers' capacity. ►Error-Prone Activities: Engineering activities are highly prone to errors because modified project requirements cannot be automatically generated and integrated into ongoing workflows. Solutions: ►Optimized Processes: DEC optimizes pre- and post-processing as well as data management of CAE processes and workflows. ►Rapid Project Adjustment: Quickly adapt engineering projects by linking tasks and processes instead of using isolated tools in the cloud. ►Reduced Complexity: Fully automated engineering workflows reduce complexity and maintain an overview of activities and overall project progress. ►Comprehensive Management: Software version control, workspace management, control of distributed data sources, and support for parallel development for individuals and teams. Key Benefits: ►Accelerate Innovation: Automated and standardized processes reduce standby times and shorten lead times significantly. ►Work Smarter: Engineers benefit from a holistic approach that eliminates the need for manual updates of technical models for virtual product development. ►Increase Productivity: Easily manage any use case in virtual product development with a click of a button – without interrupting existing workloads. ►Successful Project Execution: DEC meets specific requirements to flexibly and ad-hoc handle workflows – even in collaborative processes. We at GNS Systems specialize in providing solutions that drive innovation and efficiency in virtual product development. Manufacturing companies are using PTC software to identify and improve their products’ environmental footprints. #CAD enables designers to select more sustainable materials, use less of those materials (within performance constraints), and optimize for lower-footprint manufacturing processes. #PLM enables product developers to create a modular bill of materials that they can feed to lifecycle analysis tools to help assess their product footprint early in the design process, where changes and tradeoffs are the least expensive. #ALM enables companies to trace sustainability requirements across full product designs and develop embedded software that supports remote triage and service. #SLM enables companies to extend the lifespan of their products while optimizing their products’ end-of-life outcomes for circularity.
