I was recently asked by a candidate how to go from a 9-5 job to a work from home, well paying marketing role. They had no experience in marketing and hadn't undertaken any courses or looked at training. At that point it was clear to them what they needed to do to make this happen and I'm a firm believer of people being able to do anything they put their mind to. A career change is a daunting thing - I should know, but it takes hard work and commitment. Building a good relationship with a recruiter can be hugely valuable to help offer advice, give you a confidence boost or CV tips. And who knows, maybe this time next year you will look back on your new career knowing you've made a good choice and are learning something new. #southwestjobs #recruitment #careerchange

HR was not my first career choice; marketing was. But looking back, it makes perfect sense. I have always enjoyed connecting with people and found myself naturally good at communicating. This traits led me to Human Resources, and I could not be happier. Interviewing has become one of my favorite parts of the job. It's not just about asking questions. It is about truly listening and understanding the other person. Each candidate brings their own story and challenges, and I am grateful for the chance to learn from them. For me, recruiting goes beyond just talking to people. I want everyone I interact with whether they are a potential hire or a longtime employee to walk away feeling a bit better than when they came in. It is about creating those small, positive moments that can make a real difference in someone's day or even their career. This job pushes me to grow every day, and I wouldn't have it any other way. HR isn't just a career for me; it's where I get to be the best version of myself while helping others do the same. What career path have you chosen and why?

This helps potential employers see your skills and experience in action. Network Smarter: Leverage Social Media Use platforms like Click2.ai Engage with industry leaders and participate in relevant online communities. Sharing insightful content and commenting on posts can increase your visibility and build connections. Upskill Continuously: **Online Courses**: Enroll in courses on platforms like Coursera or LinkedIn Skill Pages Learning to acquire new skills or improve existing ones. Highlighting your commitment to learning can make you a more attractive candidate. By integrating these strategies into your job search, you can significantly enhance your prospects and stand out in a competitive market.
