What are the characteristics of a #leader in #sustainability and #climateaction? How can we shift our mindset towards sustainability? Dr Isabel Rimanoczy, author of the Sustainability Mindset book and creator of the Sustainability Mindset Indicator, and Dr Ciarán O'Carroll, sustainability expert and lecturer, share insights about what it takes to lead change. “If I were to name some of the characteristics of people who can generate change, I would start with self-reflection,” says Dr Rimanoczy as a starter to the conversation. Dr O`Carroll emphasises that we need visionary leaders who can inspire and motivate their teams and are open to learning and adapting. He adds: “Successful examples include leaders who practice participatory decision-making, allowing teams to contribute to sustainability initiatives and those who adopt a coaching style, facilitating personal and professional growth within the context of sustainability goals."
