🎄 Wrapping up our 2024 quarterly client events on a high note. 👩🍳 Last Friday, Rikesh Bhatt, Financial Planner and Isha Bhatt hosted the final client event of the year, at the fantastic Perrys Field to Fork Cookery School. 🌭Our wonderful clients rolled up their sleeves and got hands-on, learning to make artisan sausages. 🤭 The evening was filled with creativity, laughter, and let’s just say plenty of cheeky innuendos! Well done to the winners of the Golden Sausage award! They looked awesome 👏🏽 🫶🏼 A huge thank you to our clients for getting stuck in and making the event so memorable. Thank you also to all the staff who were fantastic hosts. 🥂 Here’s to more fun, learning and community in 2025! #clientevents #financialplanning #businessowner #community

Inspiring to spend the evening with tech-forward COOs, sharing commonalities in ways of thinking and experiences. Including, it turns out, walking fast. Interested to hear what unique value businesses find in a COO role? In an era of rapid technological and process transformation, it can be powerful and can also take many forms. #chiefoperatingofficer #coo
A massive shout out to last week's COO Roundtable dinner guests, thank you for a wonderful evening Anna Roberts, Valeria Leonardi, Tamara Castelli, Bethany Ayers, Frances Mannion, Eli Rezinsky and Maris Liigmann for coming along, sharing experiences, breaking bread and being great company. Thank you to the wonderful Vidal Meric for well structured and thought provoking hosting and for the brilliant handmade cards, a lovely touch, you can just see them on the table. I absolutely love the dinners as a way to really support COOs to get to know each other in a safe and welcoming environment. Our Christmas dinner at Barge East is the next evening meal for our COOs to look forward to at the end of November, I can't wait! #COO #ChiefOperatingOfficer #Community #Dinner #Coaching

Is it acceptable to share a love for BBQ on this platform? 😄 What does BBQ have to do with business? A lot, actually. Hear me out... There’s nothing more satisfying than a perfectly smoked pork belly or ribs, fresh off the smoker. 🍖🔥 But it’s not just about the food—it’s about the people. It’s about gathering around a table, sharing stories, connecting with friends, and celebrating wins (both big and small). In many ways, BBQ is a lot like business—it brings people together. Whether it’s a team lunch, a weekend get-together, or an impromptu client meeting—great things happen when we’re all at the same table. So, what’s your favorite BBQ style? Let me know down in the comments.😊 #BBQ #Community #BusinessAndBBQ

Adults deserve field trips! We just wrapped up our first Best Era, LLC in-person event. We spent our first day helping firms get ready for 2025. But day 2 was just as meaningful. We got out of the classroom and got our hands dirty...with bread flour(btw if you're using any other flour for your pizza dough you're doing it wrong). Our attendees learned a new skill: making traditional New Haven style apizza. And along the way they learned skills that can help them in their business: -Follow a recipe. (Run on systems) -Keep it simple. Bread flour, water, salt, and yeast. (Stop making things harder for yourself than they need to be) -Market yourself like the famous New Haven apizza makers. (Be an expert in your field) Next time you get a chance to get out of your office for a field trip, do it! P.S. Thank you to Case Status for sponsoring and Haley Moore and Jay Burchfield for getting your hands dirty with us. #BestEra #SliceofSuccess #LegalBusinessCoaching #LegalBusinessConsulting

What does it take to be a successful founder ? I have had the pleasure to work with 00's over my career. The one common thread that runs through them all is. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭, 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬. A few months a go I met Stuart Coleman, through the Kindreds Group of Drinks Founders. He was raising money for HAELU Drinks, and hustling on all fronts. There was a bubbling desire to create and independent drinks festival within the group and before you knew it DRINK IT IN Festival was born, a venue was secured a date was set and we were on. I have watched in awe as he has gone about creating something from nothing - with no investment, a genuine skill. So this post is a shout out to Stuart Coleman a true example of a 'journeyman' founder. 𝐇𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. 1️⃣ Drinks brands in my network who do not know about this... DM Stuart Coleman for information on stands there are a FEW left. 2️⃣ Anyone with any drinks buying responsibility or a curious investor you need to be there. Check this link out - https://lnkd.in/eXakrqDt 3️⃣ Curious drinks consumers - get your ticket this is going to be a vibe. I am also going to on one of the panels. With Eoin Keenan, Anthony Wilson, Blake Gladman Talking about: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 based on my report High and Dry Ltd So make sure you're there.

London, Shenzhen, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Austin, Medellin, Puerto Rico, Hong Kong, Rome, Costa Rica, Las Vegas, Kyiv, New York, San Diego, San Jose Del Cabo, Boston, Santiago de Cali, Phoenix, Armenia, San Francisco, Panama City, Toronto, Miami, Guyana, Chicago, Denver, and this week, Jupiter. These are just some of the cities I've held investor dinners in over the past decade. There have been so many lessons learned. Swen's list here is what you should follow, if you want to build an incredible network of people... no matter what the industry or focus is. There is absolutely no substitute for meeting people in person. If you're an active accredited investor and you'd like to join Swen and I at future dinners, make sure to connect. If you want to host your own dinners, just start! That's the hardest part. What's stopping you from creating and strengthening powerful relationships?
12 rules for truly great dinner meet-ups. Cody Shirk and I pooled our thoughts on this! 1: Everyone gets the names ahead of the dinner, with a one-sentence CV about everyone. 2: Sign up no less than eight and no more than sixteen participants. Twelve is ideal. 3: Invite a few known characters and mix in new faces. 4: Do a round of rapid-fire introductions when everyone sits down. 5: Book a private dining room to block out restaurant noise, it's always worth the extra expense. 6: Everyone pre-orders so there is no time wasted on that. 7: The host curates the conversation and gets at least three or four people to speak about a subject they are passionate about. 8: Invite one outlier who can speak about a totally different subject than what everyone expects. 9: Give participants the option to not appear in social media and not have their contact details shared. 10: No sponsors, no sales pitches. 11: Everyone pays an equal share towards the cost, so the hosts only have to invest their time and reputation. 12: Sharing of all email contacts early in the morning of the next day. Cody and I just did this with a group of private investors and entrepreneurs in West Palm Beach, and pooling our respective networks. This was one of the best evenings we ever hosted! For 2025, we are planning to institutionalise these dinners. Cody will cover the US, I cover Europe – and with occasional overlap. Best to sign up to Undervalued-Shares.com or www.codyshirk.com if you want to be kept up to date.
