Anthony Scinto, CPA MBA What is your role within the company? *I am the Tax Department Chair for MMB+CO, but I am also a client serving tax partner. In my role as client serving tax partner I focus on serving large, multi-national corporations and other taxpayers with cross-border transactions. When are you the happiest? *I couldn’t be happier then when I am surrounded by my family, close and extended. I love entertaining at my home and it makes me very happy to see those around me enjoying the food, drinks, and company of each other. If you could have any superpower, which would it be? *Being able to turn off stress and worry. Our careers as CPAs are very rewarding in many ways, but can be incredibly stressful and challenging at times. I would love to have the ability to turn off the stress and worry that I experience at times. Who would you choose to narrate the story of your life? *Anthony Hopkins. No comparison. Sharing the remarkable success stories that have emerged from our work - helping businesses thrive, saving our clients from tax dilemmas, and securing significant savings in areas such as inheritance tax. These narratives are the heartbeat of our service, steering us beyond traditional accounting to genuinely impact our clients' futures. Inland Revenue has released a rare “General Article” in relation to the planned increase of the trustee tax rate to 39%. Here’s what you need to know… #tax #businessadvisory #trusts 

I work very closely with professional intermediary firms, assisting them and their clients on specialist tax projects. We work with the following: • accountancy firms • lawyers/solicitors (dumb question maybe but what exactly is the difference here 🤣) • trustees and fiduciaries • IFAs • chartered financial planners We proactively get involved to: 1) help their clients achieve their goals, whether that's saving them significant amounts of tax or advising on risks 2) help the firm provide a holistic service/add tax advisory as an additional offering. I have heard of clients leaving their accountants for example as they did not provide these specialist services. Rare case but does and can happen. I say this because accountancy firm owners will grow WITH their clients. Many accountants I speak to say the same thing. Our clients have now grown significantly. And that's where the tax expertise is required. I also offer a free client review service and provide an opinion or proactively scope out relevant items.
