🎄Wrapping up 2024 – A Big Thank You! 🎁 As the year winds down, I want to say a huge thank you – to our customers, partners, and especially the incredible CHG-MERIDIAN team. You made 2024 a year for the books! We hit 45 years of CHG-MERIDIAN this year – quite a milestone that marks over four decades of growth, innovation, and success! Over these 45 years, we’ve evolved from a small company into a global player. This year, we expanded our reach even further, adding new markets through strong partnerships and acquisitions in ANZ, APAC, and the USA. Here's a quick recap of our journey: ✅ We retained our long-term clients, showcasing the trust and value we continue to deliver. ✅ Launched 7 new products, helping our clients bring their visions to life. ✅ Celebrated several clients successfully fundraising in a challenging market. ✅ Began relationships with 6 amazing new clients. ✅ Expanded our talent pool globally, welcoming two fantastic new team members from Brazil. ✅ Became leaner, more agile, and more cohesive as a team. ✅ Upgraded our tech stack and introduced new services, including #UXUIDesign as a standalone offering and #TechDueDiligence for Investors. ✅ Rolled out new HR policies and perks, focusing on wellness and growth for our team. This year also brought challenges. For the first time in our history, we had to navigate a layoff. While it was small, it was deeply significant and a humbling experience for us as a company. It's my last working day of the year and I'm feeling reflective... 2024 has been a year of great progress for Instant Impact: - We grew by c.39% (pending year end results!) ↗️ - We transformed our proposition with creation of our #tech stack and the introduction of Centres of Excellence 🏆 - We launched Impact X our new Exec Search brand 🚀 - We were ranked as the 14th best small business to work for in the UK 🏅 - We hired 44 new team members across the UK, US and South Africa including some brilliant senior talent with Elisabeth Dinter-Nethercott, Jessica Morgan MSc, Peter Blythe, Ling Taylor, Peter Bone, Philip Smith and Phil Gittins all joining the team 🤝 We also learned a lot: Always keep an eye on the long-term: At the start of the year our only Growth Objective was focused on hitting this year's number and we lost sight of the bigger picture - not spending as much time as we should focusing on the sustainable investments that were needed to achieve long-term growth. We rectified that after H1 which has led to a reshaped marketing team, use of upgraded technology, the introduction of RevOps, a BDR team and a Sales Director joining in March - we won't make the same mistake again Stay agile: the first part of our tech journey went more slowly than we'd hoped. Our Strategy to buy a one size fits all solution turned out to be wrong, and that's ok. We adopted a product-thinking approach to building around a number of core platforms - it makes us more flexible which is what our clients want. SMART OKRs: As we come to the end of the year and we're assessing how we performed we're proud of the progress that we've made but also feel that some of the OKRs that we set at the beginning of the year weren't specific or measurable enough to really determine whether we achieved what we want... It's been a formative year for us. I'm proud of what we've achieved and am really excited for the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead in 2025... A huge thanks to all of our amazing clients, team members and partners without you guys nothing is possible and we look forward to working with you for years to come!
