That the retail investment space is growing, especially in Europe, driven by the growth of digital players, is nothing new. I’ve mentioned this already a couple of times. But how different perspectives across the financial industry are looking at this development is not something you can read every day. Therefore, I’m really impressed with the white paper from Euroclear where the current developments in the retail investment space are outlined and described by many industry players, including me. A consolidation of viewpoints that would make an attractive read for any fintech enthusiast. This paper shows the role of retail when it comes to investing in ETFs and how the historical savings driven culture in Europe is changing to a more investment driven culture, largely driven by the newer generations. Building wealth for the future is something people should start with at an early age and we at BUX see that people are starting earlier and earlier with building an investment portfolio.
