Perfect screen distance at your desk: 1 Screen Setup: Don't sit too far or too low. Lean back with your shoulders against the chair's backrest. 2 Hand Placement: Reach forward to the screen's center to find your ideal screen-to-body distance, 3 Perfecting the View: Aim for the top edge of the screen. If it feels out of reach, adjust the screen slightly downward. 4 Ergonomic Tip: Tilt the screen up by about 10 degrees to match your eye level perfectly, #eargonomic #wfh #backpain #neckpain #perfectdistance

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿? The main feature to look for in a good chair is 𝗮𝗱𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. The more that you are able to adjust the chair, the better you can customise it to suit your individual needs. When looking for a good chair, check for the following adjustable features: 𝗔𝗱𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 height - We come in all different shapes and sizes so it is imperative for the height of the chair to be adjustable to accommodate for your own specific measurements. 𝗔𝗱𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 seat depth - When you sit right back into the chair, with your lower back supported, there should be a 2-3 fingers gap between the edge of your seat and the back of your knee crease. 𝗔𝗱𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 back rest - The back rest should rest at a 90-100 degree angle to the seat. 𝗔𝗱𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 lumber support - Supporting the natural arch in your lower back will help you maintain a better posture whilst you are seated. 𝗔𝗱𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 arm rests - Make sure that the height can be adjusted so the forearm is supported comfortably. A good ergonomic chair that is specifically adjusted for you will give you the best chance of maintaining your good posture. Does your chair pass the adjustability test? If not, time to look for a new one! “𝑨 𝒈𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒊𝒓 𝒊𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒂 𝒈𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝒇𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒅 – 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒐𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒕.” #chairclub #buylocal #proudlySA #partchairallhuman

It's possible to make adjustments to most chairs to help have better posture. If you're working from home, you might not want or have the space for an office chair but with a few adaptations, you can adjust the chair height to suit your body. Also, most chairs lean back so it's possible to make your own backrest for upper back support - much better than lumbar (lower back support). Read more here: https://lnkd.in/e3eWh3a7

Safe Sitting and Standing Techniques “Touch-Turn-Sit” Technique - This process is frequently taught to people with HD, so that they can safely sit down. This simple strategy solves both the problem of balance and the inability to judge distance. 1. Touch the chair (for stability). 2. Turn slowly (maintain balance). 3. Touch the chair with the other hand. 4. Guide yourself and sit down. “Hands-on-Knees” Standing Technique - This technique will help the person stand up without losing their balance. 1. Place the hands on the knees. 2. Bring the weight forward and bend slightly at the waist. 3. Place feet under the chair. 4. Push up to a standing position. #huntingtonsdisease #hdtips

Let’s put a remote control inside the armchair of a plane for a TV inches away so I can press all the buttons just by using the armchair? 🤦🏻♂️ And if you want to turn the screen off? Just press 10 times the “less contrast” button. Arggg! ❓What is your favorite (or least favorite) bad design in manufacturing? I’ll answer first in the comments. #livingintheair #flyingUSA #baddesign

Why Ergonomics in Chairs Matter More Than You Think When we think about workplace productivity or even comfort at home, we often overlook one critical factor: the chair we sit on. Yet, the design of a chair can have a profound impact on our health, focus, and overall well-being. Here’s why ergonomics in chairs matters: • Health Benefits: Poor seating posture contributes to back pain, neck strain, and even long-term spinal issues. Ergonomic chairs support proper alignment, reducing these risks. • Increased Productivity: When you’re comfortable, you’re able to focus better and stay productive longer. Discomfort is a distraction no one needs. • Long-Term Cost Savings: Investing in ergonomics today can reduce health-related absenteeism and costly medical interventions down the road. Whether you’re outfitting an office, a home workspace, or even a classroom, the right chair isn’t just furniture—it’s a tool for supporting health and success. Let’s prioritize comfort, health, and productivity by making ergonomics the standard, not the exception. What’s been your experience with ergonomic seating? Have you noticed a difference in your day-to-day productivity or well-being? Let’s discuss! #Ergonomics #WorkplaceWellness #Productivity #DesignForHealth

Finding the Perfect Chair is absolutely possible!! It's always nice if the chair fits your right out of the box... if it doesn't, hopefully there are enough adjustments so that you can easily fine-tune the overall fit. Seat Height adjustment and Arm adjustment options are usually the most common adjustments. You want to make sure that your feet are flat on the floor and your arms are at a comfortable 90-degree angle when siting up straight. In top tier chairs, you will find four-way arm adjustments so that you can adjust arm height, width, depth along with being able to pivot the arms.
