🌟 𝗔𝟰𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹 at #SDDN2024! 🌟 Last week, Valencia became a hub of innovation and collaboration during the 𝗫𝗩𝗜 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 (𝗦𝗗𝗗𝗡). This annual gathering brought together professionals committed to advancing therapies and pushing the boundaries of drug discovery. Despite the challenges Valencia faced, the city’s resilience and the warmth of its people shone through, making the event not only possible but truly special. We are proud to share that our colleague Julio Martin represented #A4cell at the meeting. As a member of the 𝗦𝗗𝗗𝗡 𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱, Julio had the honor of participating alongside the board and the 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗜𝗣𝗙, 𝗗𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗸𝘀, who warmly welcome the event. Our deepest gratitude goes to the Spanish Drug Discovery Network (SDDN) 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 and more specially to the people at Centro de Investigación Príncipe Felipe (CIPF) for organizing such an enriching event. In addition, Julio presented a poster: “𝘓𝘢𝘣-𝘪𝘯-𝘢-𝘤𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘚𝘗𝘈𝘤𝘩𝘪𝑝®: 𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘪𝘭𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦-𝘤𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝑝𝘩𝘺𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘥𝘳𝘶𝘨 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺". This was a fantastic opportunity to showcase how our #SPAchip®technology is paving the way for real-time cellular analysis, driving innovation in drug discovery research. Thank you, Valencia, for hosting this unforgettable event, and to everyone involved for making it a success! #SDDN2024 #DrugDiscovery #Research #Valencia #Innovation

We're here at the 35th International Symposium on ALS/MND... Our team are all set up at Booth 11 and ready for the influx of scientists, industry experts and members of the community at large who are about to flood through the doors of the Palais des Congres de Montreal. Don't forget to come say hello to us, we'd love to hear from you and possibly get the chance to shed more light about the possibilities that come with iPSCs in transforming ALS research and drug discovery. We will also be presenting a poster where we will be sharing characterization data we have done with our iPSC-derived motor neuron disease model for ALS as part of the ongoing effort to build a better human-relevant model of this disease: Poster: Characterization of human iPSC-derived motor neuron disease model for ALS drug discovery, presented by Adele Etienne Our team will be on Booth 11 so come and talk to us if you are interested in seeing some of this characterization data and hearing how our axoCells can support your ALS research needs. We are also running a 2-min survey where you as members of the ALS community, will be able to help shape the next generation of ALS models. We value your feedback and look forward to using it to develop more sophisticated and more human-relevant iPSC-fuelled models to support ALS drug discovery. To complete this short survey, click here: https://hubs.la/Q02-L3WY0 If you won't be at this event, you can also email us your questions at operations@axolbio.com. We'd be happy to help. See you at Booth 11! #ALSMontreal #humaniPSCs #drugdiscovery #collaboration

It was worthwhile waiting for the outstanding topic on every #DMDG Open Meeting, The Debate, this year the motion was: "This house believes that human will be the only species in DMPK evaluation by the 65th Open Meeting" Speakers FOR the motion: Beth Williamson PhD and Ian Wilson Speakers AGAINST the motion: Toby Athersuch and Steve Hood Moderator: Simon Taylor No doubt that I am FOR the motion since TNO is adhering to the 3R’s principle by offering predictive in vitro and ex vivo platforms predicting human PK/metabolism. Besides the pay-off of our TNO spin-off Peregrion is: Human first, human only. Generating hADME data early in #DrugDevelopment #TNO #Peregrion #DMPK #DrugMetabolism #3Rs

The preliminary results of Daan van Valkengoed from coordinator Elizabeth (Liesbeth) De Lange's group at Universiteit Leiden are quite promising but still confidential, so stay tuned for the real thing in the coming months 😉 . Despite only working on #QSPainrelief for about a year, he already gave a very intriguing ECS Short Talk on translating in vitro data on drug transport into in vivo predictions of #CNS #pharmacokinetics. Great job, Daan! #ChronicPain #PainRelief European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) Pain Alliance Europe European Pain Federation EFIC Societal Impact of Pain (SIP) European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP) Other current QSPainRelief consortium members: Dr. Sara Stöber Andrea Bedini Monica Baiula Chiara Cimetti Divakar Budda Elisabetta Cuna Jessica Jones Solenn Gousset André Mouraux Beltrán Álvarez Pérez Rafael Maldonado Jesús Giraldo Pedro Renault Coen van Hasselt Jeroen Elassaiss-Schaap Petri Takkala Wouter Bakker Geert Jan Groeneveld Scientific and Ethical Advisory Board (SEAB) members: Jan Freijer Dr. Petra Bloms-Funke Nadia Malliou
