Decorations Up ✅ Matching PJs ✅ Gifts wrapped ✅ Festive movies watched ✅ Cookies and cakes baked ✅ Festive crafts ✅ When we see festive movies or scroll through social media there are all these expectations of how to make it ‘perfect’. In reality it doesn’t work like that, especially if we are caring for someone. Sometimes, traditions that your family have had for many years may need to change or stop all together. Letting go of expectations and enjoying the festive season that works for you and the person you care for can make it a lot less stressful. Every family is different, and everyone’s festivities will be different too, especially when you are caring. Remember to be flexible as well. If one thing isn’t working, try something else. Do what works for you, not what others expect! It's always worth having a plan B, and be prepared to change your plans if a particular element isn't working. Do you have a plan B this year? Let us know your thoughts below. ⬇️ #CopingDuringTheFestiveSeason #CaringAtChristmas #CopingAtChristmas #CaringDuringTheFestiveHoliday

The weekend is as good a day as any to make this post. And the festive season, the most opportune time... Let's remind ourselves about safe alcohol consumption. For men, < 14 units/week. Ladies should limit to < 7 units/week. Then comes the relevant question, what constitutes a unit? Here: 1. A pint (that's roughly 550ml) of beer with 4%ABV = 2 units. 2. 125ml glass of 12.5% wine = 1.5 units. Naturally 250ml will be? You guessed it, 3 units! 3. 25ml (commonly a 'tot') measure of 40% ABV spirit = 1 unit. Now you've been empowered. Indulge responsibly. Happy festivities.

Take a moment and pause… Which of the upcoming interactions will bring you the most joy? What do you need to do to make sure you are fully present and able to experience the moment? Are there any ways of taking a few things off your festive list, to create a little more space to relax and enjoy the festivities? 2055: Gratitude Festive Wishes for Dasara to All My Friends! On this day, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all instruments, automobiles, and other valuable equipment. Only with these tools, apparatus, vehicles, and weapons will we be successful in our respective domains. As a result, today is definitely the day to spend quality time with all of them by offering garlands, essence sticks, deep cleaning, and getting all of the rest they need. This is built on multiple generations of customs and rituals. A simple question: Why do this only once a year? Why not do it more frequently, putting social media aside and incorporating the next generation of energetic individuals in the process. It's a lovely thing to express gratitude to the non-living things that sustain us. Consider dedicating a special time each week to care for these instruments that sustain our work and life. While the tradition of honoring them once a year made sense in the past, today we rely on them constantly—so our appreciation should reflect their increased importance. Show gratitude not just once, but multiple times, for both living and non-living entities that help you along the way. You may not own everything, but you may rent or hire it for a period of time (Taxi, SaaS and alike), and it will be extremely valuable in all of your endeavors. According to me, this will be the genuine festivities of Dasara, the festival of appreciation, esteem, respect, and acknowledgment, to name a few.

Happy Independence Day! Fourth of July festivities are fun and filled with celebrations, however, we must remember to keep our pets safe and happy. 🐕 🐈 Reminders for the holiday: 👉 Take your pet for a walk or play with them to get some energy out before the celebrations begin. 👉 Don’t leave your pet outside during fireworks. Place them inside with food, water, and maybe their favorite toy. 👉 Keep party food and alcohol away from your pet. 👉 Make sure your pets are wearing ID tags and their chip information is up-to-date. 👉 Clean up hazardous foods, drinks, and other items immediately after the festivities.

Day 11 of my Christmas Jumper Extravaganza! 🎄 I am sporting my festive feline friend today - looking as chilled and content as we all deserve to be this season! Let's have a cosy chat about expectations, shall we? Like this laid-back kitty on my jumper, sometimes the best approach to Christmas is keeping things wonderfully simple. There is no need for every moment to be picture-perfect or every mince pie to be homemade! The most magical moments often happen when we take the pressure off and embrace the perfectly imperfect nature of the season. Maybe the turkey's a bit dry, or the fairy lights won't untangle - but these often become the stories we laugh about later! Remember: your Christmas doesn't need to look like anyone else's to be special. Sometimes the best gift we can give ourselves is permission to do things our own way. What's one expectation you're letting go of this festive season? Pop it in the comments below! 👇 #MentalHealthMatters #ChristmasJumperChallenge #RealityCheck #WellbeingWinter #MHIB

Day 17 of my fabulous Christmas Jumpers🎄✨ Today I'm wrapped up in this delightfully soft pink number, adorned with sparkly gift bows - because sometimes the greatest gift we can give ourselves is a little kindness! Speaking of gifts, let's unwrap something special: self-compassion. Just like this cosy jumper gives me a warm hug, being gentle with ourselves can feel like wrapping our minds in comfort and understanding. Remember, you wouldn't scold a friend for taking a breather during Christmas shopping, or criticise them for buying ready-made mince pies - so why not extend that same kindness to yourself? Think of self-compassion as your personal Christmas present - no queuing required, and it's always the perfect fit! Whether it's saying no to that extra commitment, having a duvet day with your favourite festive film, or simply acknowledging that you're doing your best - you deserve that kindness. What's your favourite way to show yourself some compassion during the festive season? Share your self-care moments below! 👇 #MentalHealthMatters #ChristmasJumperChallenge #SelfCompassion #WellbeingWinter #MHIB #mentalhealthinbusiness

The key to enjoying and celebrating the Festive season is to focus on simple acts of kindness. No family is the same, and Christmas does not have to be one specific, traditional way. Ask about different festive cultural traditions in your family and blend these diverse elements. For example - share some recipes, listen to different holiday music, or adopt customs. These small acts of kindness - not just giving gifts - but sharing, and appreciating one another will bring everyone closer together. Create an open space for conversation and understanding - acknowledge changes that have happened in the family, and ask others how they feel about it. Celebrate the uniqueness of your family and create new traditions, together. It's time to mention the C-Word...🎄🥂🎉🎅🏽 With the Summer wedding season, Halloween parties and fireworks celebrations behind us, it must be time for Christmas! This week I wished my first happy Christmas of the season! 😊 Horrifying maybe but they're about to migrate south for the winter so I think I can be forgiven! Christmas has always been a favourite time of year for me; an opportunity to spend time with friends and family, spread a little cheer, celebrate the year gone by and take a pause and prepare for the New Year ahead. It is hard to not be carried away by the bombardment of festive cheer and perhaps an excuse to behave a bit lavishly, indulge ourselves and be a little more frivolous. How are you celebrating this festive season? Have you planned your Christmas Party? Booked a venue? Invited guests? It’s only six weeks until Christmas Eve and calendars are filling up, decorations hung and dancing shoes polished. If you’re feeling overwhelmed and party planning is not your forte then I can help. From finding a venue, managing the guest list, booking entertainment, planning the menu, decorations, transport, accommodation and everything in between. Think of me as your Christmas magician but without the tricks! #christmasparties #christmasevents #festive #corporateparties #officeparties #newyearseve #partyplanner #eventcoordinator #eventmanagement #eventplanning
