I have never seen this one before.” ~ Maya Angelou May your Thanksgiving be filled with moments of joy, connection, and gratitude for the uniqueness of the day. Thanksgiving: A Time for Reflection and Awareness As we approach Thanksgiving, it’s important to pause and reflect on its history and meaning. For many Native Americans, this holiday brings mixed emotions—a celebration of gratitude and community, but also a reminder of complex histories and ongoing struggles. Gratitude is a deeply rooted value in Indigenous cultures, tied to our relationships with each other, the land, and the gifts of the natural world. Yet, it’s equally important to acknowledge the broader historical context of Thanksgiving, a narrative that often overlooks the experiences and resilience of Indigenous peoples. This year, I encourage us all to approach Thanksgiving with mindfulness and intention. Let’s honor the land we gather on, recognize the contributions of Indigenous peoples, and seek opportunities to learn, share, and advocate for Native voices. May this season inspire deeper connections and a shared commitment to equity, understanding, and truth. Wishing everyone a meaningful and reflective Thanksgiving.

🦃 A Thanksgiving Thought for Everyone 🍁 Thanksgiving is more than just a holiday—it’s a chance to reflect on the goodness around us and to share that gratitude with others. This day reminds us of the power of thankfulness, positivity, and connection. Let’s take a moment to: 🌟 Be grateful for the friends who bring joy and laughter into our lives. 🌟 Appreciate our family—the people who support us through thick and thin. 🌟 Celebrate the little wins and everyday moments that make life beautiful. But let’s not stop here. Gratitude doesn’t need to be confined to one day. It’s something we can carry forward: 💛 Tell someone how much they mean to you. 💛 Look for the good, even in challenging times. 💛 Be the light in someone’s life, no matter how small the gesture. This Thanksgiving, let’s remind ourselves and each other of how much we have to be thankful for—and how much positivity we can share. Together, we can make the world a little brighter, one thankful heart at a time. Wishing you and yours a day filled with warmth, love, and happiness. #HappyThanksgiving #Gratitude #Friends #Family #Positivity #Kindness
