Ilmatar's offshore project Bothnia is entering the next phase with upcoming open consultations in Rauma, Kristiinankaupunki and online. Bothnia is one of Finland's most significant offshore projects – together, the two areas cover nearly 1.200 km2 with a potential production capacity of 4 GW. "Ilmatar's own operations already have a positive climate impact, but we also aim to be the foundation for more companies and industrial sectors to move towards greater sustainability. The more renewable energy we can produce, the faster this goes," says Anna Häger, Ilmatar's regional manager. https://lnkd.in/gPuWa43M #Offshore #RenewableEnergy #WindPower

We’re proud to announce a new partnership between Consolis Latvija SIA and one of the world's leading wind turbine manufacturers, Nordex Group, and its Latvian branch, SIA Nordex Latvia. The partnership with Nordex strengthens Consolis Latvija’s presence in the Baltic States and aligns with our strategy for growth in innovative, sustainable sectors. The first project in the Baltics is the Laflora wind energy project, owned by Latvenergo, Latvia’s largest energy producer. Located just 60 km south of Riga, the Laflora site will feature 16 prefabricated reinforced concrete towers for wind energy, produced by Consolis Latvija. This is a significant step in the region’s transition to renewable energy. To support the partnership, Consolis Latvija will make substantial investments in its Rumbula factory near Riga, transforming it into a hub for producing Nordex wind turbine towers. This expansion expects to create over 100 new jobs, welcoming skilled precast concrete workers and industry experts. Esa Mäki, Managing Director of Consolis Baltics, highlights: "We are thrilled to be involved in this partnership with Nordex and a new niche market for prefabricated reinforced concrete elements. We expect several wind energy projects in the Baltics in the coming years, and it is great to be a part of developing the important new green energy infrastructure!" [June Monthly Class AMATI Indonesia Recap in Study Independent Batch 6 - Net Zero Heroes - Renewable Energy Program by MSIB Kampus Merdeka and AMATI Indonesia] This time I want to tell you about my participation in an independent study class at AMATI Indonesia and GAWIREA. So, in this independent study, the focus was on renewable energy. I would like to share my experience participating in this independent study class. During one month of studying in the MSIB 6 Net Zero Heroes Renewable Energy program, From June period, I learned a lot of topics regarding renewable energy. Besides taking the curriculum classes, I also participated in other classes likes to project classes. In this month I learned Project 6 class: Final Idea and Pitching Class, through this class learn to finalize the final project idea and consult with the GAWIERA team and learn the right way of pitching for the demo day later and attend curriculum class 22 regarding No Time to Waste: Advancing Low-Carbon Solutions in Municipal Solid Waste Management on June 12 to learn about low-carbon oriented waste management by utilizing increasingly developed technology and proper waste management and receive knowledge and material from international speakers. So far, I am learning new things about renewable energy is very exciting because I believe the future will be a more sustainable future for generations to come, and the action starts now. Harmony in the Hills: One of the Most Beautiful Wind Farms Breaking away from factory floors and concrete jungles, let's dive into nature at the SANY Shenxianling Wind Farm, China's first eco-friendly intelligent wind farm. With its stunning landscape design, the wind farm seamlessly blends with the natural environment, turning it into a favorite spot for tours and sightseeing. The wind farm houses 24 units of 2MW wind turbines and one 1.5MW unit, totaling 50MW in installed capacity. This capacity allows it to generate over 140 million kWh of electricity annually, with a utilization rate exceeding 2800 hours. Thanks to its remarkable performance, in 2018, it claimed the top spot among 40 wind farms in Hunan Province. The Shenxianling Wind Farm is also notable for its advanced technology and efficient operations. SANY's self-developed intelligent monitoring system enables it to operate with fewer than five maintenance staff, representing an innovative approach to unmanned and minimally staffed wind farm operations. Compared to a similar-sized coal-fired power plant, it saves over 39,000 tons of standard coal and reduces CO2 emissions by 118,600 tons per year. SANY Renewable Energy's green footprint goes beyond Shenxianling. It has built over 24 wind farms across 12 provinces in China, with a total installed capacity of 7.5GW. When you add up its self-built and supplied wind farms, the total capacity surpasses 24GW, marking a significant stride in the fight against climate change and the journey toward clean energy. #WindFarm #Nature #Sustainability #RenewableEnergy #SANY #SANYGroup

Congratulations to Mars on the announcement its Wodonga facility will be Australia’s first large-scale steam-based manufacturing site to deploy a 100% renewable energy solution for both electricity and process steam by 2026! The $39.3 million project at the Mars pet food manufacturing site will include the installation of an 18-megawatt parabolic trough concentrated solar thermal (CST) plant that will provide up to 10 hours of thermal energy storage for cooking pet food. The project, which includes a $17.2 million grant from the Australian Government through the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA), marks the first commercial deployment of parabolic trough CST technology in Australia. The project also builds on Mars’ implementation of electric thermal energy storage (eTES) technology, which allows the facility to utilise low-cost, grid-connected renewable electricity during off-peak times to generate and store heat that can produce steam at any time of day or night. This eTES system, supported by CSIRO, provides a cost-effective, renewable alternative to gas. These initiatives support Mars' commitment to sustainability and its broader company goals of achieving net zero by 2050. Craig Sargeant, General Manager of Mars Petcare Australia and New Zealand, said, "Decarbonising site-based process heat, coupled with Mars Australia’s 100% renewable electricity use, is a significant achievement that not only reflects our ongoing commitment to sustainability but also positions our Wodonga facility as a leader in green process heat manufacturing on a national scale.” Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gFgfkiR2 #energyproductivity #A2EPMember #renewableheat #CST #electrification #processheat #greenmanufacturing #greensteam #eTES #energystorage #solar Paul Matuschka #solarthermal
