I've been finding some interesting creators recently and one of them is Luma Nieuwenhuijzen. For the VFX/Gaming/Creative people in my network, check out his instagram short to see how he utilized Cinema4d, #stablediffusion and other technologies to create some of his videos. What this tells me, after looking at other friends in my network is that upskilling is more important than ever. People who are using AI as another tool to advance their creativity are going to have that advantage as these tools mature. Today I tried Luma AI Dream Machine, which was launched globally on last Wednesday, text-to-video generation model, Dream Machine. The platform can generate up to five-second-long videos from simple or descriptive text prompts. The AI model can generate videos in various styles such as cinematic, animation, realistic, and more. Dream Machine is available publicly with temporarily limiting free tiers to 10 generations/day and its competitor OpenAI's Sora is not available publicly. I tried Sora's prompt (https://lnkd.in/d68_WBfS) to compare with Dream Machine for similar comparison and found video quality is much inferior than Sora. It takes 120 seconds to generate video with 120 frames. Let me know your thoughts about it.
