So many people in aviation have remarkable gifts and they join together to make the best system in the world. There are groups like advocacy associations that lobby and fight for policy that supports their members. There groups that organically join and groups that are pooled together to give a strong voice for vital issues. There are also topic specific groups built of thought leaders who dream of how to make the system better. Then, there are the non-profits. They are the glue that holds the aviation system together. These are aviation’s “good news” stories. While it is essential that the for-profit groups do what they do, it is also critical that organizations that bring the heritage, life services, unique accessibility, and future of aviation to the hearts of the public always has the means to do so. Imagine a world without the National Aeronautic Association to help us remember where we have been and drive where we are going. Imagine a world without Corporate Angel Network and LightHawk to support vital services today. Imagine a world without museums like the Cosmosphere to spark the next generation of aviations workforce. We need our local #AeroClubs to bring aviation opportunities to communities across the world. Schools, scholarships and more all depend on the generosity of people who belive in what we all do. There are so many non-profits in aviation (too many to list!) that are fulfilling a mission that enhances the world for everyone. These groups are staffed by hard working professionals and selfless volunteers who count on you to ensure their mission. Don’t take their relevancy and existence for granted. Choose your favorites and support them so they can continue to give their gifts away.

Success does not happen without help
There’s no such thing as being self made. Every successful person has had people help them. Whether it’s someone teaching them directly or watching a persons video on YouTube. Everyone has had help. I think we should take a moment to thank someone that’s helped us, whether they know it or not. And I want to thank David Lynch (林大卫) After 30 years in business I still know vey little compared to David. And without his Help, HelpBnk wouldn’t exist. So let’s all take a moment to thank someone today. Who are you grateful for? Thank them below 👇

For any of you that didn't know, I have a big passion for anything with two-wheels and I often spend my weekends covered in mud, taking part in Enduro events across the UK. Motorbiking, especially Enduro (off-road) riding comes with an increased risk of injury. This weekend, during a standard 'Practice day', one of the riders took a bad fall which resulted in a serious injury. Promptly to the scene arrived an ambulance, but this was shortly followed by the Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex service. Firstly, I wanted to commend the unbelievably fast response time of the AAKSS. Hopefully their quick arrival and expertise has saved this riders life. With the day brought to an abrupt end, on the journey home I got thinking..... How many Air Ambulance missions are attributed to hobby related accidents? Furthermore, should these types of missions be part-funded by the individual involved? Or, do the event organisers allocate a proportion of the ticket costs to some sort of insurance to part/fund these missions? According to the AAKSS website, each lifesaving mission costs around £3,700 and is funded almost entirely by the generosity of people within our communities (https://lnkd.in/duaRyPzg). I also found out that the most common type of incidents they attend are Road Traffic Collisions (30%), Accidental Injuries (22%) and Medical Emergencies (27%). I am incredibly thankful for all the amazing work the AAKSS do and will be making monthly donations to the Charity moving forwards. Do you think that hobby related accidents that require the presence of an air ambulance should come with mandatory insurance requirements for situations like this one? BTW, I just heard that the rider involved is thankfully now in a stable condition, but with broken ribs and punctured lung. #airambulance #AAKSS #AW169 #agustawestland #rotary #foodforthought #questionformynetwork #aviation #helicopter

Adaptations in Action! 🧑🦽This week’s top tip is for Remote Keypad Controls! This adaptation is very popular among drivers who have experienced a stroke and are left with reduced functionality on one side, and is often used in conjunction with a left foot accelerator pedal. If you have functional use of only one arm, a remote keypad attached to a steering aid enables you to steer and operate the auxiliary controls, such as the indicators and wipers, with one hand. There are various shapes and sizes of keypad available. The control can be mounted on either the left or the right side of the steering wheel, and can also easily be removed and switched off when not in use, for example if someone else wishes to drive the vehicle. FACT! Herts Ability has a fleet of dual controlled vehicles with a range of driving and transfer adaptations. Every vehicle is fitted with dual controls for safety and insurance purposes and all assessments take place in a dual controlled car. A client can use their own (or an instructor’s vehicle) if it is fitted with dual controls. As always Herts Ability is happy to help with any request you have. 👉 Our aim is to help YOU get back on the road. Please call us on 01707 324 581 or email driving@hertsability.org.uk for more information! 👈 #VehicleAdaptations #DrivingAdaptations #TransferAdaptations #DrivingLessons #DrivingMobility #Mobility #OccupationalTherapy #Charity #Hertfordshire #HertsAbility

👉 In a heartwarming act of kindness, a Mumbai auto-rickshaw driver named Javed Khan has been offering free water and biscuits to passengers and passersby during the sweltering summer heat. This thoughtful initiative, which he started in May 2024, aims to provide relief to those struggling with the high temperatures, showcasing the spirit of compassion within the community. 👉 Context: A Simple Gesture with a Big Impact Javed Khan, who operates his auto-rickshaw in the busy streets of Mumbai, decided to take action after witnessing many people suffering from dehydration and fatigue due to the extreme heat. He began keeping bottles of water and packets of biscuits in his vehicle to offer to anyone in need. His selfless gesture has not only provided physical relief but has also uplifted the spirits of those he encounters. Passengers have expressed gratitude for his kindness, often sharing their appreciation on social media. 👉 Community Response and Support Javed's initiative has inspired others in the community to contribute as well. Local residents have started donating water bottles and snacks to support his efforts, creating a ripple effect of generosity. This grassroots movement highlights how small acts of kindness can foster a sense of community and encourage others to engage in similar charitable actions. 👉 The Logical Indian applauds Javed Khan for his remarkable initiative, which exemplifies the power of kindness in everyday life. His commitment to helping others during challenging times serves as a reminder that compassion can make a significant difference in people's lives. What other simple acts of kindness have you witnessed in your community that made a positive impact? Helllo Pranav Goel great to discover Porter ‘s understanding of value of time is asper consignment value . 😂. So since my delivery cost was ₹111, Escalation Team contact me to attend to my grief & offered ₹111 as compensation while I asked for an apology mail & a decent amount of ₹1000 to compensate for my time lost due to the delay . Also, had asked to not to sack the partner . But escalation team has to show their achievement which they show their power on underprivileged & sacked him . Not surprising partner did not understand value of Time as neither does escalation team understand . They have the audacity to offer me ₹111 as compensation 😂😂😂😡😡. This reflect lack of understanding of whole purpose of your service & right up to up-lines in the management has not realised , 🚨If Porter have still not understood , The entire purpose of hiring #Porterservice was to saving time & since it failed ,basic decency to compensate with some decent amount. I didn’t ask for 5k or 10k. It’s just 1k . Hope you have a #donationbox for #communitydogs in your office . Please drop ₹111 in that . I’ve wasted 2 hours yestderday to get the parcel & today some 5-6 calls took another one hour of my time . I rather take care of my #communitydog with the time than waste on these humiliating calls. Despite delay, I have paid the partner & the 2nd one ₹50 , just out of concern & my humanitarian nature ,for his efforts to reach the pick-up point. #shame on #Porter for such an humiliating & thoughtless offer . Hope rest in the #Delivery understand the purpose of hire your service & do not make the mistake what Porter is doing . cc Rapido Uncle Delivery Dunzo #bengaluru #bangalore #customerdissatisfaction #bengalorian #Porter #appsdeleted #patheticservice

Hello Pranav Goel , rather than doing a root cause analysis on #loopholes in your #deliveryservice , Porter escalation team has happily sacked the Porter partner. So Porter service won’t improve if one partner is sacked . There is loop hole in your system . Guess where is the loop hole ? Why this kinda of repeatative mistakes & confusion happens only with #Porter? Many a times canceled requests gets picked by partners & customer has no clue about parcel being picked ? One guess ? If you are interest in improving your service , Respond to this post & I’ll tell you & help you streamline #Porter . #customerdissatisfaction #bengalorians #bengaluru #bangalore #pathethic #Unhappycustomer #deliveryservice
