American Academy of Pediatrics Simulation’s Post

We are excited to continue the "Simulationist Spotlight" series, where we highlight leading experts in healthcare simulation. Each spotlight will dive into their insights on one key question: "What makes simulation an effective teaching tool?" This month, we feature Dr. Amy Joseph, a Pediatric Critical Care Fellow at Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital. Read on to discover her perspective! Dr. Joseph: “Simulation creates a safe learning space with less pressure than sometimes seeing a scenario with a real patient. I think this is such an important place to learn and then be able to take those skills to the bedside. I think the other advantage of simulation is that you can practice with multidisciplinary teams and really figure out the best way to do something and take the time to do so. There are so many different applications for simulation!” #AAPSimulation #Simulation #SoSILM #HealthcareSimulation #InnovativeLearning
