Just unlocked a new achievement: CKAD certified! 🚀 Thanks, Mumshad Mannambeth, for the wonderful Udemy course, which was my main source of preparation. Besides that, I also read "Kubernetes – Up and Running", a book from the creator of K8S, but I have to say, the Udemy course was more useful and interesting to me. The problem with certifications is that at some point, you need to recertify. The advantage is that you can refresh your knowledge and learn something new. This week, I renewed my CKAD certificate. I used the Certified Kubernetes Application Developer course https://lnkd.in/emXVsB6r on Udemy. It is a really useful, practical course for learning or refreshing application developer-specific concepts for Kubernetes and practicing them. I also learned something new: since Kubernetes 1.29, if an initContainer is created with its restartPolicy set to Always, it will start and remain running during the entire life of the Pod and can be restarted separately. This can be helpful for running supporting services separate from the main application containers, sidecar containers. https://lnkd.in/euZ6y5kb
