Now, before y’all come for me... This ISN’T to say that strategy and understanding the rules isn’t important (obvs it is!). BUTTTT Following *just* the “shoulds” or “have to’s” or what other people say to do isn’t what’s going to get you where you want to go 👀 You have to find the sweet spot of strategy + personal alignment. Of knowledge + intuition. Of understanding the rules + doing what feels good. In this week’s podcast episode, I share my reflections on this third year in business and THIS ↑↑ was one of my biggest lessons (among many others). This was honestly my hardest year in business, so I had a lotttt to share about the highs AND the lows, the wins and the lessons; andddd the takeaways we can all use in our own businesses too → cause you already *know* we keep it real round here! When is the last time you checked your podcast consumption rates in Apple Podcast or Spotify? If it's been awhile, then go, go, go. You can use the story that this data tells you in a number of ways. One of which is helping you know where to place your calls to action (CTAs). If you'd like to see an example of making CTA decisions and what Apple Podcast consumption data looks like, check out the latest Podcast to Connect episode with Door Key Podcast (April Nordyke). Special thanks for April letting us share her podcast's data in order to help others grow, grow, grow their audience. That segment is about 10 minutes into the video. But you know, the whole 18 minutes is quite valuable if I may say so myself.

A small obvervation about the listeners of Ahrefs Podcast... The episode with Guillaume Moubeche is #1 most watched on YouTube, leaving everyone else quite far behind. But on Spotify it basically shares position #2 with Rand Fishkin (while #1 spot belongs to Peep Laja). And on Apple Podcasts Guillaume is down to #5. ^ Interesting how users of different platforms prefer different guests/topics. 🙂 P.S. Another observation is that the "Plays" metric that both Spotify & Apple report seems to be INFLATED AS HELL. Just compare it to "Engaged listeners" (on Apple) - which stands for "The number of unique devices that played at least 20 minutes or 40% of an episode within a single session. Pausing or stopping an episode does not count as starting a new session." ^ So whenever you're negotiating podcast sponsorships, make sure you ask the hosts about their numbers of "Engaged listeners" and not just "Plays." That would give you a much better idea of the actual CPM you're paying. P.P.S. If you haven't listened to any episode of Ahrefs Podcast yet - you have to fix this mistake asap! 😉

Episode 36 of The Overcoming Fears and Doubts podcast is available to stream on Spotify and Spotify for Podcasters! Link to stream is in my bio! 💻📱I also added the link here 👇 https://lnkd.in/d6SVayUD Episode 36: 3 Ways to Help Break Out Of Bad Habits! In this episode, I break down 3 ways to help you break out of bad habits. Especially in our fast-paced world, it’s common to develop bad habits. Even though it’s common to develop such habits, it’s also 100% doable to break out of bad habits! Another point I talk about, an analogy, is to think about bad habits as like ice cubes. They’re both difficult to break at first, but when we make the effort to break out of those habits, we can experience that “liquid state” of more opportunity to move around and grow! Enjoy!

Spotify for Podcasters 🎙️🎧📱 Everything is fine in this application, but there are several problems, 1 - There is no longer the podcast distribution mode.2 - There is no way to make changes how to image or text in the profile. 3- One It's just why there isn't a help option.and finally 4 - several times this application closes and does not It lets you enter, and you have to do it Another way. No matter how much I do it from my smartphone , there are people who with great equipment to make a podcast, they have requested it and they cannot enter . What's happening, gentlemen of Spotify, it's not I liked this. #spotify #podcats #posdcasting improve for good
