“Which Step gives the fastest weight loss?” I am often asked this question by clients, and the answer I give is always... “The fastest Step is the one you can stick to”. Just because the computer says that you can start on Step 1A or 1B, doesn’t necessarily mean that you should. We are all different. The amount of weight we would like to lose is different, as are our medical backgrounds, personal circumstances and activity levels. Some people like to be able to take food completely out of the equation, in which case Step 1A or 1B suits them perfectly. Others like to sit down to a “proper” meal with their family, so prefer Step 2 or 3. Some people are gym bunnies so need more calories. Some people only want to lose a few pounds quickly for a special occasion, others have several stone to lose. ‼️MOBILITY MOVEMENT OF THE DAY‼️ Everyday in June I will be posting one mobility movement! Today's movement is one for your shoulders and Lats Start kneeling with a bench in front of you: place the back of your elbows on to bench, you can use a broom stick or any kind of stick to hold on to, you can also just keep your hands up elbows bent at 90 degrees! Then slowly lower your body until you are sitting on your feet or as low as you can go! Goal is to get your head at the same level as your elbows or lower! This will have a big stretch feeling in the back of your arms all the way down to your mid back! Hold the end position for 3-5 seconds and repeat each side for 5-10 times each side! This movement is great for people who sit at a desk a lot or people who struggle with overhead movements! If it were that simple it would have already worked….. It’s not as simple as just cutting my calories. Lets be honest, you have tried the low calories, it wasn’t sustainable and you always find yourself back in the gaining and losing weight battle So yes a deficit is needed for weight loss but if you don’t prepare your body for the deficit by taking it though a repair season and giving the body what it needs currently, just dropping your calories lower and lower is not going to make the body lose weight. A marathon runner and an athlete has to prepare for their run and for their season. They do not just jump head first into either without preparing their body with fuel and training. Our body’s our really smart its #1 job is to protect you and keep you alive. So if you are barely eating anything and have been at low calories for months and you are working out like crazy guess what the body is not going to help you lose weight. It’s going to do everything in its power to keep you alive and losing weight is not on the to do list. . . . . #womenshealth #loseweight #nutrition #nutritioncoach #ceomom
