Thanks for the report, I am a big fan of Workman's products, I have never seen anything more functional that is at their price point (maybe except Temu?), Their Solotex line (a frabic from Teijin) is incredible for travelling. I think they are in a category of its own that they pretty much created. As you mentioned on your report, the sales recovery is important, but I think Workman's story is their margin, like many other Japanese companies, they couldn't raise price fast enough as cost ballooned when PPI was almost double digit, their gross margin shrunk almost 5% points in 2022-23. I think margin recovery is in the card, with a stronger yen and consumption growth. Even Uniqlo is slowly raising their prices with higher price items and leaving the lower price items to GU. If Workman can bring in high single digit top line growth, with a 2-3 points restoration in margin, 250 yen of EPS is not far fetch in the next 2 years.

🎉 On August 30th, we had the #osterwalder day. 🎉 The event was mainly about the company's strategy and to share and shape this with all employees. The team gathered at a scenic location, starting the day with coffee and croissants, followed by a brief introduction. The employees then worked together in interdisciplinary groups, focusing on strategy, company values, and discussing the results of the yearly employee survey. After lunch, the meeting continued with an engaging team-building activity, where everybody collaborated to build and trigger an impressive chain reaction involving over 60 actions. The event concluded with a short address and celebrating the day's achievements, and was followed by a summer party where employees were invited to bring their families.
