In Judaism, every rule is simply an opportunity to build vital relationships. The great Rabbi, the Maharal of Prague taught that Judaism's commandments are pathways to fostering 3 key relationships: with ourselves, with others, and with the Divine. Every rule strengthens these bonds - the prohibitions remind us not to erode existing connections. Which relationship - with self, others, or the spiritual - do you find most critical to nurture? Let me know below! #Judaism #wisdom #connections

I have seen a lot of articles on what makes a good leader. Did you know the bible points us to the greatest leader ever, Jesus Christ. Granted religious artwork often portrays Jesus as a baby, as an undernourished weakling, or as an ascetic who passively submits to whatever befalls him. These images do not inspire confidence in him as Ruler. The real Jesus Christ of the Bible, however, grew up to be a vigorous, well-developed man full of zeal and initiative. And he possessed other traits that qualified him for leadership. (Luke 2:52) That is why he is often regarded as a great leader, and his leadership skills are often studied and admired by people for various reasons, including his ability to inspire, teach, and bring about positive change. Here are a few aspects of Jesus' life and leadership that are often highlighted: Vision and Purpose: Jesus had a clear vision and purpose in life and leadership. His mission was centered around love, compassion, and the establishment of the Kingdom of God. He was appointed by his father who viewed him as a most capable and trustworthy leader(Psalm 2:6) Jesus is the King of God’s Kingdom, a government that rules from heaven.—Matthew 6:10. Jesus and his father clearly communicate this same vision and purpose throughout the bible. We show by how we live our lives that we accept his leadership and this same vision and purpose, and we do so because of our love, respect, trust, and confidence in him as a true leader! Empathy and Compassion: Jesus demonstrated deep empathy and compassion towards those he interacted with. He showed understanding and cared for the well-being of individuals, even those who were marginalized or considered outcasts. He gave comfort to the depressed. (Luke 7:11-15) He gave encouragement to his hardworking apostles. (John, chapters 13-17) He proved to be “the fine shepherd” who cared for his sheep.—John 10:11-14. These qualities win hearts! Effective Communication: Jesus, as Jehovah’s spokesman (John 1,2,14) was known for his powerful and effective communication skills. He used parables and simple language to convey profound messages, making his teachings accessible to a wide audience. He was never harsh nor demanding but communicated with love, understanding, patience, and took the time to listen. Leading by Example: Jesus led by example, living out the principles he taught. His actions were consistent with his words, earning him credibility and respect among his followers. Most important to practice what you preach. If you lead in this way others will follow. 1 Peter 2:21 says, “Christ suffered for you, leaving you a model for you to follow his steps closely.” Of course, we cannot follow his steps perfectly being imperfect and all. However, if we act on what we have learned through personal Bible study, doing our best to correct any flaws we may have, we can successfully follow the model that Jesus left for us. (Ps. 119:59).

Transformation happens when purpose, process, and people are "empowered." First, the Holy Spirit empowers purpose which lays the foundation for vision, ministry and mission. Next, purpose empowers process. The Holy Spirit uses a powerful process to transform our lives through relational discipleship development - a lifelong journey of faith. Finally, this purposeful process empowers people. Through His Holy Spirit, God empowers people to become true ambassadors for Jesus Christ. This level of empowerment becomes "transferable" from one person to another. Through meaningful relationships people empower people. God designed "relationships" to be the divine agents that connect people with each other and create influential avenues for transformation.
