Despite fierce competition from online retailers, Brick-and-Mortar electronic retailers are making healthy profits- Report “In the consumer durables landscape, what seems surprising is that despite "killing" competition from online retailers, the profitability of brick -and-mortar electronic retailers remains healthy. We argue this is not accidental. Their success suggests discipline and efficiency in the channel--likely enforced by OEMs, which provide crucial support in the form of materials, credit and corrective actions.” https://lnkd.in/gutkP9hq Nuvama Group Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India #retailer #EV #OEM #Mortar #retail #Retailoutlet

As someone who’s deeply involved in global supply chain trends, I find this shift both exciting and challenging. At Hexalog, we’re focused on building flexible, cross-border supply chain solutions that can keep up with these demand surges. We operate in regions like Bangladesh, China, Iran, Iraq, Australia, the UAE, and Europe, helping brands reach fast-growing markets quickly and smoothly. India’s changing consumer landscape reminds us that supply chains need to stay adaptable, especially during peak times. Serving a market that’s expanding beyond big cities isn’t just about logistics—it’s about staying tuned to local changes and being ready to adjust quickly. #GlobalSupplyChain #SupplyChainTrends #CrossBorderSolutions #DemandSurges #FastGrowingMarkets #AdaptableSupplyChains #LocalChanges #PeakTimes #Logistics #MarketExpansion #industryinsights
India’s Festive Sales Boom: What It Means for the Global Supply Chain This year’s festive season saw record-breaking sales on India’s e-commerce platforms, with transactions reaching nearly ₹1 lakh crore ($11.9 billion). This 23% growth over last year underscores the incredible demand coming from non-metro consumers and the surge in premium category purchases. For international supply chains, this demand presents both opportunities and challenges. As more consumers in tier II and III cities in India look for premium brands and categories, it raises questions about how global suppliers can keep up with rapid shifts in demand. Smartphones, premium appliances, fashion, and personal care items were top categories, pushing the limits of both domestic and international logistics. This trend demonstrates the importance of resilient and flexible cross-border supply chains to respond to seasonal peaks and shifting consumer patterns. With non-metro areas contributing significantly to luxury sales, companies must rethink their strategies to better serve these growing markets while managing logistics and inventory flow effectively. With such demand spikes during festive periods, how can global supply chains better prepare to meet consumer expectations? . . . . #EcommerceTrends #SupplyChainResilience #GlobalTrade #FestiveSeason #IndiaEcommerce #CrossBorderLogistics #SeamlessSolutions #Hexalog #SupplyChainSolutions #logistics #transport #transportation #shipping #supplychain #freight #cargo #logisticscompany #delivery #export #warehouse #logisticsmanagement #freightforwarding #truckdriver #warehousing #deliveryservice #freightforwarder #logisticssolutions #supplychainmanagement #ecommerce

Festive Fever: Indian Ecommerce Hits a Record ₹1 Lakh Crore in Sales🚀 Indian e-commerce platforms recorded an impressive ₹1 lakh crore (around $11.9 billion) in sales over the festive season, marking a 20% increase from last year, according to @EconomicTimes. This growth was fueled by non-metro cities and a surge in demand for premium brands. The first week alone contributed more than half of the total festive sales, spurred by Flipkart’s Big Billion Days and Amazon’s Great Indian Festival, which kicked off on September 26. During this period, sales reached ₹55,000 crore before dipping slightly in the third week and rebounding as the season drew to a close. Smartphones reigned as the top-selling category, accounting for nearly 65% of online purchases. The demand for high-end brands also surged, with Amazon reporting a 30% increase in sales of large appliances and substantial growth in beauty and fashion categories—some of which saw over 400% growth compared to usual levels. The festive season also set a record for UPI transactions, reaching 16.58 billion in October, a 45% year-on-year increase. Quick commerce made a significant mark, contributing an estimated $1.1-1.2 billion in sales, according to Datum. Homegrown direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands flourished, with categories like beauty, shoes, and apparel reporting up to 700% year-on-year sales growth. #india #business #investing
