Gen AI is a big thing for enterprises to experiment in 2025. But, each time I ask ChatGPT a question, its response generates a mix of dopamine and fear! While the jury's still out, one thing's clear: enterprises are grappling with adoption. What's holding back this "game-changer"? The answer is as complex as the technology itself. Let's unpack …. 🚀 Challenges Enterprises Face in Adopting Gen AI: 💼 Business: - Identifying value zones, New app vs. tweaking existing ones, Build or buy dilemma - High scaling costs, ROI measurement hurdles, Building trust in Gen AI 👩💻 User: - Moment of truth: Embrace or resist?, Fear of redundancy, cognitive distribution - Adoption resistance, Up-skilling uncertainties, 🛠️ Tech: - Talent quality gaps, Data quality/volume issues - Integration complexities, Security concerns ⚖️ Legal/Regulatory: - Compliance challenges, IP ownership ambiguities - Liability concerns 📊 The numbers : - 74% of companies struggle to scale AI impact (BCG, 2023) - Data complexity remains a major barrier (IBM, 2023) - Only 25% feel prepared for AI governance risks (Deloitte, 2023) 🌟 Cracking these challenges is the key to unlocking Gen AI's potential. The AI boom is shaking up industries, and consulting firms are riding the wave. Ever since ChatGPT launched in 2022, companies like Dun & Bradstreet have been keen to tap into AI’s potential but often need a helping hand. That's where firms like Boston Consulting Group (BCG) step in, turning uncertainty into clear strategies. BCG’s income from AI-related work has soared, now making up a fifth of their revenue. IBM and Accenture are seeing similar trends. IBM alone has secured over $1 billion in AI consulting sales, showing just how much businesses need expert guidance. This reminds me of the 90s dot-com boom when everyone rushed to build websites without really knowing why. Today, it's AI everyone’s after, asking not just what they can create, but what they should create. Consulting firms are proving their worth through events and partnerships. Recently, BCG hosted a conference with top AI companies, showing off how AI can be used in robotics and programming. Internal talent acquisition teams need to get more AI-enabled, or else companies will turn to these consulting firms for solutions. The demand for AI consulting is skyrocketing as businesses try to keep pace with tech advancements. While the journey to integrating AI can be tricky, the rewards are huge.

🚀 SMEs: It’s Time to Level the Playing Field with AI The world of business is changing faster than ever, and AI isn’t just for the big players anymore. With tools like ChatGPT and advanced multi-agent systems, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can now compete head-to-head with industry giants. That’s why we are introducing the DC-AC Framework—a game-changing approach that enables businesses with as few as 20 employees to operate like companies with 200 (or more)! Here’s how it works: 🌟 Efficient Data Collection – Know your customers like never before. 🌟 Superior Automated Customer Service – Provide 24/7 support without scaling costs. 🌟 Fully Automated Data Analytics – Turn your data into actionable insights, instantly. 🌟 Internal Co-Pilot – Empower your team to work smarter, not harder. The best part? You don’t need a massive IT department to make this happen. Over the next few blogs, I’ll break down each component and show you how to build this for your own business. If you’re ready to future-proof your SME and outperform your competitors, check out the first post here 👉 https://lnkd.in/eQjAXFGu And if you’d rather skip the hassle of building and maintaining this yourself, I’d love to help. Let’s take your business to the next level. 💼 #ArtificialIntelligence #SMEs #BusinessGrowth #Innovation #AIFramework

🌟 Food for Thought 🌟 Enterprises that aren’t investing in or adopting GenAI capabilities might be underestimating the risks. While some view AI as too risky, the real danger lies in not embracing it. Why? Because your employees are already boosting their productivity with tools like ChatGPT, often leveraging data that's crucial to your business's success. Ignoring AI could mean missing out on vital opportunities and exposing your data without proper oversight. It's time to rethink the approach and balance risk with innovation. 💡🔍 #EnterpriseAI #GenAI #RealEstateAI

Sharing some unscientific musing on technology, based on the hundreds of conversations I have had with dozens of different businesses over the last year. Would love to hear if this resonates or not. POST 1 #TechMusing - Artificial Intelligence It's no surprise AI is a key topic. There is no denying the power AI can have. However most businesses have NOT been transformed by AI in 2024. A: Individuals can quickly, easily and often for free, use hosted AI tools like ChatGPT, co-piolt, or stable diffusion etc to make specific tasks much easier. For example creating marketing collateral or getting help solving a software question. B: As businesses scale they want higher quality, consistent outcomes. Many of the off the shelf tools are no longer good enough in a big team context. They potentially need lots of correcting which reduces the value. Or they need bespoke training and customization, which reduces the chance of a positive return on investment (ROI). There are defiantly valuable AI use cases in every business, but they seem to be harder to find in the £10mil to £1bn revenue mark. C: Once businesses reach a certain scale of revenue and employees, small efficiency gains from AI can make a big difference in cost saving or revenue generation. Therefore the extra cost of building and training models is much more likely to pay off. Conclusion: Currently (Dec 2024) you need a small team of well paid people to build, deploy and maintain bespoke AI models, usually with some hosting or licensing costs as well. The cost of this is only perhaps 2x more between medium (B) & huge (C) companies. However a 10% efficiency gain on copy writing for a team of 5 people vs 5000 people creates a radically different return on investment profile. As tooling advances I think the curve will straighten to get closer to a line between A & C. However, I'm unsure if that will be in 2026 or later #AI #Software #Tech #Consulting

Are you choosing to compete with AI? Last Friday I had the opportunity to briefly sit down with our CEO Louis Tetu in our Montréal office. He had to step away briefly from writing his latest Fast Company - Executive Board article. I highly recommend the 4min read! Our conversation of course touched on the key themes he was pondering. Louis is very specific in how he articulates the impact of GenAI. Here is one of my favourite quotes: "Unlike ChatGPT, enterprises must deliver digital experience wrapped in coherency. Big brands can’t afford to hallucinate - data must be current, trusted, secure, and traceable." Coherence. Accuracy. Completeness. Confidence. A lot of new dimensions to consider when enabling GenAI and then there are the usual suspects: trust, security, traceability and reliability. A Boston Consulting Group (BCG) survey "From Potential to Profit with GenAI" has shown 89% of the C-suite executives rank GenAI and AI as a top-three tech priority, with 67% expecting double-digit productivity gains. However, five characteristics set the winners apart from the observers: - investment in productivity and topline growth - systematic upskilling - vigilance about AI cost of use - a focus on building strategic relationships and - implementation of responsible AI principles I believe there will be another group emerging from the observers: the victims of AI becoming their strongest competitor (enabling their competition to outrank them). As Louis puts it: "Those who don’t adopt AI at every point of experience along the digital experience continuum will implicitly - or unconsciously - elect to compete against it." I wholeheartedly agree. Read the article: https://lnkd.in/gxYbrU3K BCG study: https://lnkd.in/gpauffxx #genai #ai #artificialintelligence #fastcompany

Is the AI Bubble About to Burst? Recently, I've read numerous headlines speculating that the AI bubble is about to burst. But before we jump to conclusions, let's take a moment to consider the bigger picture. The chart below reminds us that the mass adoption of ChatGPT happened faster than any other technology before it – by A LOT. Given the speed and scale of this change (e.g., how many of us had heard of a prompt engineer before 2023?), it’s no wonder that companies and governments are struggling to unlock AI’s full potential value, and that some are questioning its ROI. The fact remains that companies—as well as individuals—who figure out how best to leverage AI will thrive in the future. Those who don’t will face serious challenges. Luckily, the credentialing industry is in a unique position to help individuals prove that they have the skills required to succeed in this rapidly evolving world of work. #futureofwork #upskilling #reskilling #AIskills
