Poorly prefabricated components, clamping issues, or material distortion from heat—these are common challenges that make it difficult for manufacturers to meet position tolerances in welding. 🔧 In manual welding, skilled welders can often adjust for these irregularities. But in automated or robotic welding, the stakes are higher. Quick fixes like adding more welding wire may seem cost-effective at first but can lead to inefficiencies and higher costs over time. Advanced solutions like optical seam tracking offer greater precision, but choosing the right approach requires careful consideration. Our latest blog dives into these challenges, helping companies make smarter decisions for their production lines. We'll guide you through how to: ➡️ Comply with welding tolerances in automated production. ➡️ Align your processes with DIN standards. ➡️ Select cost-efficient solutions that save time and reduce rework. If your company is looking to optimize automated welding processes and avoid costly mistakes, this blog is a must-read. Does welding speed matter? Yes, it matters a lot! But what’s the “right” welding speed for my parts and application? Generally, you’ll want to max out your welding speed while achieving the desired penetration and other customer specs. Higher welding speed means higher productivity AND reduced costs. Low welding speed leads to excessive labor hours and wire and gas use. Not only does it cost you productivity, but you pay higher operational costs!
