“The word yet is a promise of hope—it reminds us that where we are now is not the end of the story.” As we enter the season of Thanksgiving, Fostering Minds reflects on the power of gratitude and the hope that comes with yet. For foster youth, staff, and advocates alike, this season reminds us to honor progress, even when the journey feels incomplete. At Fostering Minds, we believe in the transformative power of the 3P framework: 1. Prime your heart with gratitude for the present. 2. Pivot toward meaningful opportunities to create change. 3. Prepare to embrace the possibilities of tomorrow. This Thanksgiving, let’s celebrate the strength it takes to believe in yet. Whether you’re a youth navigating the foster care system, a staff member empowering lives, or an advocate for change, your story is still being written—and hope is at its core. We invite you to join the conversation: What’s your yet? How are you creating impact, showing gratitude, or preparing for brighter tomorrows? Share your reflections in the comments or message us. Together, we can foster hope, gratitude, and resilience in the lives of those we serve. #FosteringMinds #Thanksgiving #Gratitude #3PFramework #ThePowerOfYet #HopeAndResilience

Spending time with retired folks is like hitting the storytelling jackpot! They've got time, wisdom, and some seriously epic tales to share. Plus, who doesn't love hearing about the good ol' days when they had to walk ten miles in the snow or scorching heat just to get to school? #BackInMyDay Not to mention, they always have the best advice and can drop some serious truth bombs that make you go "wow, I never thought of it that way." It's like getting a free life lesson with every conversation. So, if you're into swapping stories, gaining some wisdom, and maybe even scoring some homemade cookies, retired folks are where it's at. Just don't forget to bring your best listening ears and maybe a comfy chair, because once they start talking, there's no stopping them! #WisdomWednesday Together, let’s continue to break down barriers and create a more inclusive society for all. We build a stronger community together. Building a meaningful life often goes beyond personal gain. Focusing on giving — whether it’s our time, support, or kindness — enriches not only the lives of those around us but also our own. When we embrace the spirit of giving, we create deeper connections and a sense of belonging. Each small act of kindness can ripple out, making a significant impact on others. This commitment to service shapes our approach. At C2, we strive to provide not just housing solutions but a sense of home for those we serve. Every interaction is an opportunity to uplift, support, and foster a community where everyone feels valued and connected. As we move through this week, let’s carry this spirit of giving with us. Small actions can lead to great change, and together, we can build a brighter future for all. #kindness #community #givingback #makeadifference #suicidepreventionmonth

As a parent, you want nothing more than for your child with disabilities to thrive in an environment where they feel understood and valued.💜 One incredible way to foster this is through shared living arrangements with peers who journey similar paths. Sharing a home with others not only provides daily opportunities for social interaction but also nurtures an enormous sense of self-identity. Imagine your child waking up each day, to be later greeted by their peers who truly understand their experiences—friends who offer empathy and camaraderie in every situation. 👍🏽 When out eldest lived with us, there was little opportunity for her to experience empathy for others. It was truly something to appreciate when the House Coordinator shared with me how my daughter showed empathy to one of her house mates. This supportive environment can be, and for us has been, transformative, allowing each child to express themselves freely, develop their unique identity, and build self-confidence. It’s about more than just living together; it’s about creating a loving community that embraces differences and cherishes individuality. 🫶🏾 Are there moments when the love might not be flowing as freely? Absolutely! But this has given them opportunities to think of others, learn to take turns and practice better ways to communicate – even though they use communication devices! Belonging is a precious gift, and through shared experiences, your child can enjoy the comfort of knowing they are part of a family community, as can you! Happy to chat about our experience. Feel free to reach out! Live with Intention - Embrace the Journey🎒 #specialneedsmomscircleofstrengthpodcast #sharedliving #belonging #foreverhome #community
