The Present and Future Generations Deserve Better: By not taking immediate action on climate change, we fail to fulfill our responsibility towards future generations. They deserve a world where clean air, safe drinking water, and a thriving ecosystem are the norm, rather than a distant memory. By prioritizing their needs, we can ensure that our children and grandchildren inherit a planet capable of sustaining their dreams and aspirations.

The impacts of climate change are increasingly upon us – from extreme heat to drought to fires. To continue to thrive on our planet long-term, it is necessary to work together—governments, companies, civil society, and individuals—to reduce the carbon emissions causing climate change and enable the energy transition. Whether due to the nature of our job, or if we have adequate tree cover in our neighborhood, or if we have access to safe and stable housing, or the historical burden of pollution where we live, each individual and community is impacted differently. We all can do something to address #climatechange! And everyone's action list is different. Great insights as usual from Jonathan Foley! #climatesolutions #climateaction
We know that systemic change is critical. However, it's essential to recognize that we are integral parts of the system. 🕸️ Our individual actions within our families, communities, and globally can be significant in the fight against climate change. For example, did you know that individual and household actions have the potential to produce roughly 25–30 percent of the total emissions reductions needed to avoid dangerous climate change (>1.5°C rise). That is a lot higher than most people realize! So, are you prepared to take meaningful steps toward making a difference? Jonathan Foley offers insights into identifying the most impactful individual climate actions based on who YOU are!
