This is a key topic for business owners with exit planning on the horizon. We all know taxes need to move in order to fund some of the changes which the The Labour Party expect to deliver, and this is one area which could see movement. My personal advice is that business owners, and especially those with a medium term exit plan (ie 2-3 years), should run their figures now and consider what the optimal time is most likely to be with this potentially (can I say probably?) looming. Holding off even a small number of months could have a material impact on net proceeds should tax rates move and / or concessions fall away - and it would be heartbreaking to miss out. The Azets teams are available to help and act as a sounding board and I welcome conversations with anyone in this scenario . Our Tax teams led by Praveen Gupta ACA CTA are on top of this and happy to share their insights. #CGT #mergersandacquisitions #corporatefinance #privateequity
