There is a reason why folks put support tickets in and there is a reason why folks stop putting support tickets in. Neither one of those reasons is that the tool has been fixed. #DigitalForensics #DFIR #MobileForensics

The reason people stop putting tickets in is because of having to go back and forth for weeks, reprocessing and sending data and logs, uninstalling, reinstalling, and down grading software, just to be told “oh, even though the function appears to be there and is listed in the manuals, and we’ve been updating this tool regularly, it’s actually not activated yet.” All that while you’re still working your case load. That, and general dismisiveness or boiler plate responses with links to help articles that don’t address the underlying issues.

I just posted something like this recently, it was a gripe but also a share of a database that the top mobile phone forensic tool didn’t parse and it contained quite a bit of information and it was a BFU extraction.
