In this video please watch a nurse and a patient interact. Please watch till the end. TrueLessons brings to you some tips and complete sample role play. The OET speaking test is not an interview between a candidate and examiner asking general questions---it is very profession specific, that is, the interlocutor or the examiner will sit in front of you and play the role of a patient and you in your professional capacity will manage and respond to the patients ‘problems. So the OET speaking test consists of 2 role plays lasting for 20 minutes. Each role play lasts for 10 minutes and then you go on to the next role play. One role play card will be given to you as a professional and the other will be given to the examiner. In your role play card please look through the notes---you have to perform each and every task. ABC ABA 2024 has already come and gone! What an impactful weekend of LEARNING 📝 📉 ! On the first day, Dr. Linda LeBlanc spoke about outcomes and the impact to the families we serve when they access early treatment. We learned about how one of the most impactful outcomes a family can have as a result of their child being in ABA therapy is the reduction of self injurious behaviors. The next day, Dr. Greg Hanley spoke about the treatment of intractable SIB and how the use of the PFA/SBT process can be effective in significant, meaningful reduction. Our clinical team knows the importance of intervention when it comes to self injurious behavior, but that doesn’t make it easy to actually do. In fact, when it comes to the treatment of SIB, this is an area where many clinicians reach out for additional supports, trainings, or internal clinical consultations. Over the last year, ABC has made an investment into a partnership with FTF Consulting, which has provided opportunities for hands on support through the learning and implementation of the PFA assessment and SBT teaching processes. While our amazing FTF consultants were not at ABC ABA (shout out to Dr. G, Shana Rodriguez, and Alex Beckworth), almost all of the ABC cohort participants were able to come together for a quick photo op with Dr. Hanley after his presentation. Each of these teammates has poured in time, effort, and patience as they were guided through the PFA / SBT process. Many of them are now working on obtaining their PFA / SBT credentials as well! What an amazing opportunity for us to all hear more from Dr. Hanley himself, but also the opportunity to meet in person (these teams are across 4 states and multiple centers) to connect! Michael Liby, M.A., BCBA Riley Brooks, Rachael Cruz, Chris Gibson, Allison Day, M.S., Jasmine Chaney, Hilary G., Nicole Suchomel, Richard Garcia, Morgan Levy, Lindsey Brockie, Alexandra Broyles, M.A., BCBA, LBA, Kayla Foster, Hannah Bohannon #ABCABA #LEARNING #ABCabaorbit #happyrelaxedengaged #pfacohort #askmeaboutabc

Another SCoPEd motion for the BACP 2024 AGM declined by the BACP Board. Again, we are not surprised. BACP members will not be voting on this motion: “I submit this motion because BACP has taken the appalling move to demote its senior accredited practitioners. There should be a grandparenting scheme immediately introduced that moves them directly into column C. Thereby stopping their loss of status and giving due recognition to the quality of their practice and experience.” In their response, BACP have re-iterated their nonsensical line that it is the membership categories, not individual therapists, that are being aligned with the SCoPEd framework. They also seek to reassure that they understand the impact on senior accredited members. We remain unconvinced that BACP do understand the impact or are likely to be willing to listen to members' feedback. BACP have listed the ways they have solicited feedback from members, but this has not resulted in any actions that have left members feeling listened to. Many PCU members have reported being placed in columns that do not align with their training, experience and competencies. If you would like to join our SCoPEd campaign group, or would like to provide feedback/concerns about SCoPEd, please contact admin@pcunion.org.uk. The campaign has regular meetings via Zoom, and you do not have to be a PCU member to join us. #PCU #SCoPEd #Counsellors #Psychotherapists

We are pleased to share our annual report from the Professional Standards Authority (PSA), which confirms we have met all 18 of their standards for good regulation. Within the report, they made particular mention of the progress we've made towards our target to eliminate disproportionate fitness to practise referrals from employers by 2026 and differential attainment in medical education by 2031, as well as our work to improve the timelines of fitness to practise cases. The review considered our performance against standards for areas including equality, diversity and inclusion, guidance, education, registration and fitness to practice. The full performance review is available to read on the PSA’s website https://lnkd.in/eh-F5Sp8
