Growth. Connection. Modernization. Collaboration. These were just a few keywords highlighted during CDC’s Public Health Infrastructure Grant (PHIG) Annual Reverse Site Visit in sunny San Diego this week. Recipients, PHIG National Partners (Association of State and Territorial Health Officials, Public Health Accreditation Board, and National Network of Public Health Institutes), and CDC attended educational sessions and networked with colleagues around the country to continue to improve public health infrastructure. PHIG is a groundbreaking CDC investment to ensure health departments have the people, resources, and systems they need to promote and protect health in their communities.
