A lot of advertisers don’t want to plan too far ahead when budgets, product launches, and performance goals change on the daily. But every year we arrive at the holiday season push and tons of advertisers are eager to jump in and drive sales to end the year on a high note. This happens every single year. Can we just all agree to stop waiting until the last minute? Here’s some reasons why: - rates go up, inventory goes down - the quality of the content and the ad goes down because influencers are real people, too, and they don’t want to spend the week before Black Friday working on your ad - we should be prepping audiences with product education prior to the big discounted sale promo so it’s a no-brainer to your customers I like to give brands a soft cut-off of Sept 15, but the truth is, we really can’t deliver on great results if you reach out to us to book ads after Oct 15. That’s the real, hard, genuine cut-off date. It’s not me being a salesperson and trying to create a sense of urgency. This is one of those things you really can’t wait until the last minute on.
If you’re considering podcast advertising or YouTube sponsorships, now’s an excellent time to test! You'll secure better pricing and deals before the holiday season and the new year's ad rates.
