So, recently there is chaos that Qualified CAs are struggling to get a good job. this is rare in our profession as in the past we needed to struggle for exams and like placement to hi jayega ca banne k bd. This makes me think about other industry people, just think about athletes and sports persons... the probability of selection is so low still they worked constantly for years. beside selection it is hard to be there for constantly also a great struggle due to your constant performance to compete with the highest level of the country and internal politics too. Beside this one more industry, the persons pursuing for government exams. Just think about giving exams for years... there is corruption while selecting candidates, the exams are not happening for years, paper leaks etc. Couldn't even think of more struggle than these two industries. #Placement #CA #Struggle

Attestation and Apostille Extortion: How Students and Professionals Are Being Forced to Overpay.!! The process of getting documents apostilled and attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) Pakistan has become a big problem for students and professionals going abroad. Many agents are taking advantage of people by charging very high fees—sometimes more than 20 times the actual cost. For example, if the real fee for an apostille is 3,000 PKR, these agents are charging up to 60,000 PKR or more. It's most probable that MOFA staff are working with these agents. They make it difficult for those who try to get their documents attested or Apostille by visiting MOFA directly. They cause delays, rejections, and unnecessary hurdles, pushing people to use the agents instead. This way, both the agents and corrupt officials can make money from those in need. This situation needs immediate attention so that the process is fair and easy for everyone, without people being forced to pay unfairly high fees. #MOFAIssues #StopExploitation #FairAttestation #StudentRights #EndCorruption #AffordableApostille #TransparencyNow #FightCorruption #ProtectStudents

🎞️🧙♂️⚔️LOTR Estate Planning: Did Denethor, steward of Gondor, fail his #fiduciary duty as a trustee? 📜 In Peter Jackson's "The Lord of the Rings" film trilogy (based on J.R.R. Tolkien's novels), 🎬📘 Denethor displays a troubling misunderstanding about his role. 😱 While Aragorn is the rightful heir to the throne 👑 (i.e., the trust beneficiary), Denethor arrogantly claims "Gondor is mine…and no other's." 🤦♂️ Just as a #trustee is bound 🪢 by a legal trust to act in the beneficiary's best interest, 🛡️Denethor's failure 👎 to acknowledge Aragorn raises questions about his adherence to the said document. 🤝 📜 IRL, trustees who disobey ⛓️💥 the trust terms or act against beneficiaries' interests can face legal consequences. 👨🏾⚖️ Likewise, Aragorn's de facto lawyer (Gandalf the wizard) 🧙♂️ rightly says to Denethor: "authority is not given you to deny the return of the king!" ⚖️💼 Denethor's mismanagement of Gondor's resources 🗑️🫗 (to include telling Soldiers 📣to abandon the city 🏰 & "flee for their lives") 🏃shows a lack of diligence & prudence — both crucial qualities for trustees. 😬 Denethor's character serves as a cautionary tale, ⚠️ reminding trustees of their responsibilities & the importance of acting in beneficiaries' best interests. By doing so, trustees can ensure the preservation 🛟 and growth of trust assets. 📈 #EstatePlanning #Trusteeship #FiduciaryDuty Kingdom Advisors Ron Blue Institute #LOTR #lordoftherings

Run Y O U R race ✨✨ aka Be Y O U R S E L F (Part 2) I said in a recent post that my first proper speaking invitation was 6 years ago. What I didn’t say: 1️⃣ The speaking panel was made up of four male lawyers. 2️⃣ There was a prominent KC, a celebrated barrister, two corporate trainees. 3️⃣ Everyone else had what I would call “dream jobs” - whilst I was a Presenting Officer based at a West London Immigration Tribunal. After we all spoke, there was time for the Q&A… So imagine my surprise when in response to a question about court attendance, the KC mentioned that I’d probably been to court more times than he had - and deferred to me to give the answer… I realised in conversation later with him, that he was right. I had been to court and appeared in more hearings than everyone on the panel. I had clocked 700 court appearances in every type of immigration matter imaginable. It was very surreal but also quite humbling realisation. Fast forward to today, and I’ve grown in my career, experience and seniority. Still public speaking, still sitting on panels and still invited to share tips with aspiring students and lawyers on how to get ahead. The lesson? ✅ You are not competing with the world. ✅ You race against one - YOU. ✅ Be yourself and be authentic. ✅ Never reduce your shine. #Law #LawStudents ##LLB #LLM #Motivation

I want to start by saying I am a big fan of the Sava Diploma in Residential Surveying. I am also a big supporter of Residential Surveyors going it alone and setting up their own businesses. Experienced Surveyors mentoring students is also a great thing. Unfortunately I am starting to see too many examples of where these have combined with unacceptable results. In some circumstances it is right for Surveyors to complete the diploma and immediately being working for themselves. If you have the right background, skills and knowledge it is fine, but what is not fine is: 1. Claiming to have worked for a firm when they were just providing you with occasional mentoring. 2. Setting up a business with a very similar name to the firm that mentored you. 3. Trying to out compete that firm by offering very low prices and rushing through as many surveys as you can. I really appreciate the entrepreneurial spirit and energy Sava students have brought to our part of the profession in recent years but the qualification should not be seen as a short cut to setting up a "surveying empire". There have been two very clear examples recently as to why trying to take short cuts does not work. Two surveying business that bent or broke the rules and ultimately failed. Business set up in that way tend to fail because they are not built on robust principles that support the business through lean times. When they do fail they harm not only those involved but also clients and damage the reputation of the wider profession. On top of all that these behaviours make it harder for the students to have come after to find good mentors. Surveying is not a industry, it is a profession. To be a profession it has to be backed by strong ethical principles. Those principles are not just there to protect clients, they also exist to protect members of the profession so make sure you follow them in every part of your working life. #RICS #RPSA #CABE
