IFRS Update Conference - "A New Era in Financial Reporting" On 10 December 2024, we hosted our first joint conference of the year with the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan at the Baku Convention Center. The IFRS Update Conference featured industry expert Robert Moulin, who shared valuable insights into the latest developments in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Key topics included updates to IFRS 18, focusing on enhancing revenue recognition for greater clarity and consistency, and the introduction of IFRS S1 and S2, which provide guidelines for sustainability-related and climate-related financial disclosures. The conference also explored practical strategies for implementing these standards, insights into future IFRS trends, and real-world case studies showcasing best practices. Attended by around 100 distinguished guests from leading public and private organisations in Azerbaijan, along with our valued members, the event began with opening remarks from Deputy Minister of Finance, Mr Azer Bayramov. The discussions highlighted the importance of staying current with IFRS updates to ensure accurate and transparent financial reporting, with the day enriched by insightful sessions and valuable networking opportunities. Are European preparers interested to benefit from it? Do users consider still to receive the relevant information? #EFRAG #IFRS #IFRS19
