Congratulations! This recognition is well-deserved, and I’m confident it’s just the beginning of many more to come. Professor Alán Aspuru-Guzik’s groundbreaking work is truly remarkable. By assigning routine tasks to robots and leveraging AI to optimize processes, his approach is poised to revolutionize research, particularly in drug discovery, development, and materials science. Despite the vast scope of his research and the significant demands on his time, Alán remains incredibly kind and a pleasure to work with—even in the capacity of an institutional regulator.

We inherited a two-volume encyclopaedia from my wife’s late grandfather from the 1970’s. Toronto was only a 700k people city, but I still learn a lot from it. Well deserved recognition!
