Why is the Market Different? A common question from those new to the industry is: "Why is the market different?" In my humble opinion, when two customers are different, how can two markets be the same? While similarities may exist, especially if both markets are driven by the same commodity, the nuances are vast. I learned this lesson during my travels through the hinterlands of Tamil Nadu two decades ago. For example, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode, and Karur are geographically close to each other; however, the customer requirements vary significantly. This disparity intrigued me, leading me to the conclusion that the culture, lifestyle, and spending habits of the people in these regions greatly influence their market preferences. I invite you all to share your thoughts – agree or disagree! Your comments will enrich our mutual learning. #CustomerInsights #MarketResearch #CustomerExperience #ConsumerBehavior #LearningFromExperience

𝗜𝘀 𝗞𝗼𝗹𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵? 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗠𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂 Recently, I saw a screenshot circulating on social media that showed how number of new company registrations grew in some cities, while the number did not grow in Kolkata. I smelled something fishy, since the state had steady GDP growth rate of 12.83% in the past 10 years, I dug up some data on MCA using Chatgpt, and the final results shocked me, West Bengal did not only grow, 𝗶𝘁 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘄 𝗯𝘆 𝟳𝟯𝟯% 𝗶𝗻 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 between 2012-2024. It stands 3rd after Karnataka & Delhi. Far from lagging, the state is leading a quiet but powerful business revolution. The takeaway? Always verify the facts before jumping to conclusions. Digging deeper often reveals a vastly different, and far more inspiring picture. What do you think about this?
