Can sending emails really make your company money? Yes and no. If you are sending out emails everyday that are trying to sell products or services and not providing anyone with any value, just sales pitches, then no. You can’t make money for your company this way. This can actually cost your company money because the constant pressure to buy something is damaging to your brand. You’re also killing your email list because “unsubscribe” is the only thing ever going to get clicked in those annoying salesy emails. This is a rookie marketing mistake, and is often made when someone in the company, with no copywriting experience, is voluntold to send the emails. And to make sure to send one everyday so lots of people read lots of emails. This… does not go well. But what if the “sending emails” job wasn’t randomly assigned to the person in the office who protested against doing it the least? What if sending emails was actually a high level skill that was outsourced to a professional who could 5-10X your ROI? They also boosted your brand presence in the market (in a positive way) and catalyzed exponential growth? This is the difference between telling an employee to send out sales emails, and hiring a professional email copywriter. So what do you think? Can anyone with a company email address manage the email campaigns? Or does the second option, where you hire an actual copywriter, sound like a bit better of an idea?

You're a marketing director for a cannabis dispensary. But really you're doing it all & don't have anyone to direct. While the title sounds good; you're an island. Your day feels like a game of whack a mole Your day usually involves: - Making graphics in Canva for your in-store menu - Posting blogs to the website to drive SEO - Writing copy for social media on IG - Coordinating marketing strategy w/ store managers & GM - Working on creative for your next campaign in Surfside - Coordinating with local companies for event activations - Designing emails in AIQ.com (Alpine IQ), building audiences, etc - Updating banners on website to reflect most recent deals - Ensuring marketing scorecard is updated - and this is all before lunch Some days it's easy & others it feels like like a never ending list Reality is; the above IS doable by one person; it's just not ideal You're context switching constantly And you're being asked to do things that likely aren't in your zone of genius. Beyond that; when you're "doing the work" it's hard to be strategic. Let's assume you went to hire these folks PT You'd be on the hook for: - Posting job, interview candidates, onboarding them - Negotiating salary, managing payments, etc - Ensuring they deliver on-time / quality of work - Training them to align w/ company goals - Building project mgmt protocol So now instead of doing all the marketing work; you're playing HR / project mgr / director / coordinator / strategist / recruiter / therapist. To even further the challenge; it's unlikely you need the same PT folks / output each month; so you'd have to keep the interest over time (contractors will follow the money & focus where they're being paid today); so when you need them for spot jobs; you'll have to get back in line / queue. Curious what the other option is? Hit those DMs

A Great Product Marketer is… A Talented Communicator Strong product marketing candidates already have the full range of communications tools. They can write to various audiences in different styles (ask for writing samples!). They can persuade using reason, emotions, or a combination. They can speak articulately one-on-one, in meetings, and as presenters to larger groups. And very importantly, they ask great questions to help steer executive-level conversations in productive directions

Holy coffee beans batman… Hello world. Yesterday I started writing about the position posted by Michael Klemmer at Aerial Resupply Coffee®. There were some great reactions. To include the fact that tons of people are applying for jobs in this economy and trying do what they can. I’m not a political or economic expert but having money and doing a job you enjoy at a company you like are certainly beneficial. My thoughts and questions today are regarding the brand of the company outside the actual product or service. Mr. Klemmer has created a veteran-owned coffee company which is difficult enough. He has also injected his humor, personality, and few illustrious “employees” into his social branding. My curiosity is how this helps an organization and effects when jobs are posted. Hypothetically, if 2 companies posted the exact same job would you care about company A that was straight forward with no personal touch or would you prefer company B that you could see who they were as a company and a team? Would the job applications be the same or different? Does personality matter, and if so, how much? My thought is that it is helpful to know the personalities within an organization in addition to the job itself. I think more companies should integrate some of who they really are in their job postings. You can have a great company and a dream position but if it’s not a fit for you and their personality it won’t work for long. What do you think? (The link below is from Mr. Klemmer. Watch and enjoy.) https://lnkd.in/dpM7BVfH
In case you haven’t heard, Aerial Resupply Coffee® is hiring a Social Media Content Creator. Some of the current ARC employees are just now finding out about it. The Hammer is gonna Hammer. The posting for this position was live last week and the response was amazing! I’m still going through everyone and I’m starting to reach out to people. Meanwhile - check out our process internally. Stay caffeinated. Aerial Resupply Coffee®

Don't you just love incentives? Especially when you can get a big return for minimal effort. I know that you would love to get some free content for your own business or your client's businesses. And, as I mentioned last week, you know that we have started a new subscription-based venture that is currently accumulating new clients. So, my proposal is that if you direct any new potential clients our way and they sign up, I'll have 10 pieces of custom content written for you by our writers. They can be blog posts, website pages, emails, landing pages, you name it, up to 1,000 words. Just have your referral drop your name during the discovery call, and we'll take it from there. Our new thing is called The Design and Copy Company, and here are some details: - Monthly subscription (can choose just design, just copy, or both) - Can pause or cancel anytime - Unlimited requests (there's a complete list on the website) - One request is fulfilled at a time, with a 2-3 day turnaround - It also includes marketing strategy as a request option Naturally, a service like this one takes the place of hiring a designer, copywriter, and marketing strategist, which is going to save a ton of money over time. And the ability to pause when things are slow makes it a no-brainer! Spread the word, and great content will be coming your way :) Here's the site: https://lnkd.in/gDDVm65g Ken
