✨ Strength in Community: A Huge Thank You! ✨ We recently hosted a charity Pilates class in partnership with STRONG Pilates to raise funds for Access’s student programmes in Q1 2025. The response was nothing short of amazing - the class was waitlisted a few days before the session, and the energy in the room was inspiring! A big thank you to everyone who participated in the class and supported our mission. It was wonderful to meet so many passionate individuals eager to learn more about Access and explore ways to get involved. A special thanks as well to lululemon for sponsoring gifts for our participants - a truly delightful holiday surprise that brought even more smiles! Next up: updates on our charity Yoga class with Yoga Movement! Stay tuned as we share more about how we flowed for a good cause 🧘♀️ 🧘♂️ #AccessSingapore #CharityClasses

Why am I so passionate about running and fundraising to give disabled athletes the opportunity to run? Running has transformed my life. Last night this picture from 5 years ago popped up on my Timehop, showing me at my heaviest. Although I was always happy, I wasn’t at my healthiest. Since then, I’ve started running, lost 50 pounds, completed three full marathons, several half marathons, and volunteered weekly for the past three years to guide disabled runners. I’ve also fundraised for disabled runners and now, I’m doing it all over again. Running isn’t just about fitness; it’s about empowerment. If running could change my life so dramatically, I want to ensure everyone who wants to run has that opportunity. That’s why I’m asking for your support in donating to Achilles. I’m not just fundraising; I’m actively involved in volunteering and staying committed to running. Preparing for another marathon, both mentally and physically, is never easy, especially with a large fundraising goal. But I believe in the power of our community to help others change their lives for the better. Please consider donating. Together, we can give others the chance to experience the life-changing power of running. #empowerment #charity #donation #running #marathon #weightloss #disabilities #athletes #volunteer #guide Achilles International TCS New York City Marathon https://lnkd.in/exd5Phwa

Where Can Glitzcamp Sports Tents Be Used? 1. Yoga Classes and Retreats When hosting a yoga retreat at a resort or nature reserve, a sports tent can serve as a makeshift classroom or private meditation space. It provides a shaded, wind-proof practice area where participants can relax and unwind in a natural environment. 2. Rehabilitation and Recovery For physical or psychological treatments that require the assistance of an outdoor environment, a sports tent can serve as a gentle, private treatment space. It helps improve mood, boost immunity, and speed up the body’s recovery process. 3. Charity Games When hosting a fundraising or charity event, a sports tent can serve as a registration area or performance stage to support the smooth progress of the entire event. #sportstent Content: https://lnkd.in/gnZvHmzU E-mail: admin@shelter-structures.com

The London Marathon ballot results will be dropping tomorrow. If you get accepted, please remember that you are extremely fortunate to get a place. The chances are very slim, as the demand for these places is far higher than ever. Respect the event, the training that is required, and embrace the incredible journey which will lead you to the start line on the 27th April 2025. If you don’t get a place, then run for a charity. Do not let the fundraising put you off. I appreciate things are tough at the moment, and fundraising may be a little harder. Replace the narrative of I “have” to fundraise £2000 to run the London Marathon, to I “get” to fundraise to change the lives of others as well as my own. If you want to run a marathon for yourself, for a quick time, and have no interest in raising money for charity, then pick something else. Want to run the greatest marathon and biggest fundraiser on the planet? Then don’t whine about fundraising. The experience is priceless, and easily worth the effort of some well timed emails, cake sales, quiz nights, or more creative methods. It’s life changing. If you’re running with one of my charities, then you are going to get my everything to get you on that start-line. This picture was taken on the morning of the 2019 event. Well over 500 runners raising over £1.4million for disabled children. It’s always very humbling, and quite emotional, to say my last words to these teams before they take on the streets of London. The @londonmarathon isn’t just a running event ❤️ …if you do want another option though…the Flawed Hero Marathon 2025 is going to be epic 🔥 #londonmarathon #londonmarathontraining #londonmarathonballot #running @londonmarathon #thecharityrunner #PreFormance #nikerunning #flawedhero #flawedheromarathon

Is it really a whole week since I set off to London to get ready for my first London Marathon? "How was it?" I've had a few people ask.. It's hard to put into words, but I'll have a go at a few that come to mind: 👟Epic 👟Euphoric 👟Tough 👟Emotional 👟Rewarding The hardest part was the months of training, the build up, the stress of working out how to get to London when there's train strikes. And then there's the packing - I've never packed so much for a weekend away (energy gels, hydration, snacks to name a few items that took up a fair bit of space). It's true what experienced runners told me - the marathon itself is your lap of honour. I can vouch for this - London felt like one big party and whilst I wished the pain towards the end away, the brilliant memories will last a lifetime. The crowd support was spectacular and uplifting. The rewarding bit comes down to smashing my charity target for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. All of the well wishes and donations flooding in as the big day arrived was a great motivator I'm so grateful for every one of them. And so to the next challenge - the Giacom mission to conquer the Keswick 3 Peaks. Can't wait! Just in case you didn't get a moment to sponsor me and would like to, here is my charity link. The Make-A-Wish Foundation make magical dreams come true for kids who are suffering. Such a great cause. https://lnkd.in/ejsSUTYB #londonmarathon #personalchallenge #running #makeawishfoundation #giacom #charitychallenge #greatplacetowork

I personally want to invite my local LinkedIn network to join me at the third annual Saree Run hosted by local non profits Desis of Doylestown and Arva Yoga. You can participate in 1, 2 or 3 different ways 1) Join us for the run 2) Donate towards the fundraisers the run supports ( details in flyer) 3) ask your network to join in the run, donate and asking their networks to join. Don’t let the chain break. Open to all ages, gender, races, identities and abilities. Registration is free. Event is family friendly. Saree encouraged/optional Gently used sarees will be made available on the day of for a small donation. We are thrilled to extend an invitation to the 3rd annual Saree Run, co-hosted by Desis of Doylestown (DOD) and Arva Yoga set to take place on May 19th. Why the Saree Run? The Saree Run embodies the limitless spirit of women. Our grandmothers once walked miles in sarees, driven by dreams of becoming athletes and attaining a quality education. Today, having come a long way in our transformation, we ask: why not make the Saree mainstream, breaking free from limitations? Purpose of the Run: The primary objective of the Saree Run is to raise funds to support girls’ education and other crucial women’s initiatives. Here’s how we aim to achieve this: while the run itself is free for all participants, we encourage each participant to leverage their networks, spread the word, and actively seek donations. In the past two years, with 150 to 200 participants, we successfully raised a total of $25,000. This year, our goal is even more ambitious – aiming to raise an additional $15,000.

I've always struggled to feel proud of myself. It's weird, because I always try my hardest, but I very rarely stop to think "I'm proud of myself for doing that". I've got a horrible habit of thinking that my achievements aren't good enough and therefore aren't worth celebrating. But why? I know I've posted a lot about running the half marathon, but I have to acknowledge it once again! I had a phone call yesterday with a salesman and told him about the half marathon. He asked what time it took me to complete, followed by "2 hours 30?". I'm not close to this chap. I haven't spoken to him about my running journey at all, so in reality, all he knows about me is that I work in marketing at BPE Solicitors. "Errr no," I said. "It took me 3 hours 20". His response? He LAUGHED! I get it, I'm NOT fast. This was my first ever half marathon. But my sole reason for running the half marathon was to raise money for charity, and I thought that it would be a great opportunity for me to go from couch potato to a dedicated athlete! So yes. I AM bloody proud of myself for running the half marathon and completing it. I've also raised over a grand for The Footprints Foundation all by myself. It's hard enough to be proud of yourself, so don't shit on anyone else in the process! #charity #proudmoment #personaldevelopment
