A busy summer has resulted in a dip in food donations at local food banks and community fridges. Can your business help replenish stocks? There are lots of ways your business can help: 🥫Organise a food collection at your workplace, or encourage your colleagues to make donations at their local supermarket. You can find your nearest food bank or support service on the Access to Food Map App: https://lnkd.in/eXZKp4_M 💵 Consider making a charitable donation to your local food support project, or arrange a collection. The money will be spent on the items most in need. 🥪If you are a local restaurant, cafe or food producer, you may have surplus food that you can donate. There are community fridges across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole that can come and collect - our Map App has a list. Our partners help families and individuals from all walks of life, many who are experiencing short term food insecurity due to a change in circumstance, for example illness, job loss or increase in rent/mortgage payments. Any help you can provide is much appreciated.

Salvation Army’s 2024 State of the Nation Report indicates food support services nationwide have seen a 40% increase in demand. 40% 🤯 That's hard to read. There's so much need out there and we know everyday organisations like Fair Food NZ, Kura Kai, The Salvation Army and more are all trying their best to meet it. It's our dream to be able to meet that level of need so no one goes hungry. Our even bigger dream is that no one would go hungry in the first place. But for now, whether you're adding a small donation when you're shopping online at one of our partners, chucking an extra pack of toilet paper (one of the high-demand items at food banks) into the trolly for the food bank, or whatever small thing you can, let's try to help these charities together. Sometimes it can feel almost hopeless. But every small action makes a difference when we do it together.

New to Clothing Collective? Here's an explanation of how our model works - this concept means we can not only support people who are in clothing poverty, but also partner charities who require funds for their work. 1. Donate to us or raise funds for us (Sponsored events, corporate giving, online shopping etc) 2. This funds purchase of Clothing Collective gift cards 3. Gift cards are distributed to people in need by our partner charities (foodbanks. night shelters and other support services) 4. People exchange gift cards at partner charity shops for the clothing they want and need 5. Partner charity shops turn Clothing Collective gift cards back into vital funds for their work Find out more about how you can support us: https://lnkd.in/dyC7xvZU

Last month during the B Corp Month campaign, our Health, Wellness, and Happiness team arranged a B Corp Month Bingo. Being a B Corp is not only about business but also about our people and the small things in our daily lives. The mission was simple: everyone takes up one task, and we complete the bingo as a team. Of course, it is encouraged to try all of them. With every bingo line achieved, we will donate 25 euros to a charity we choose. (Spoiler alert: we donated 300 euros to the World Food Program) Look how colorful it turned out! 🎨 Note to self: Don’t make it too simple, no matter how much you want your company to donate to a charitable cause.

Moving can be overwhelming! It is so important to declutter first. Decluttering can benefit you even if you aren't planning to move. Here are some solutions to help you navigate what to do with your discarded items. Do you have time and could use some extra money? Sell items at a yard sale or online marketplace. No time? Donate or recycle as appropriate. Some time and some extra cash? Hire a disposal service. Some time but no extra cash? Contact local charities — some have removal services to benefit their thrift store. #themoreyouknow #Movingtips #windermererealestate #nygaardrealestategroup #cherylnygaardrealestate #Windermere #organizationhacks

Ways to Give Back This Thanksgiving and Holiday Season As the holiday season approaches, it’s the perfect time to spread kindness and give back to our communities. Volunteer at a Local Shelter or Food Bank Many people face hardships during the holidays. Volunteering at food banks, homeless shelters, or soup kitchens can provide a warm meal or a sense of community for those in need. Donate to Charities or Local Causes If you're able, consider making a financial contribution to a local charity, food bank, or nonprofit organization. Many groups rely on donations to fund their holiday programs, whether it's providing meals, gifts, or essential services. Host a Food Drive Rally your friends, family, or coworkers to collect canned goods, non-perishable items, or toiletries to donate to food pantries or shelters. It’s a great way to bring people together for a common cause.

15 Charitable Locations With a Cause Over the years, as I worked with clients, I found that people with a charity that offered a cause close to their hearts were more likely to get rid of their gently used belongings. In this post, we will provide you with an extensive list of charitable locations with a cause to motivate you to take action and get rid of those unwanted items. Note: Please check the charitable locations’ websites for details on the updated donating items policies. From clothing to collectibles, several charities are below to help you get rid of items. Each section includes the name of the charitable location, the link, what they accept, and their cause. Read below to find the one that is best for you!
