What you see might be a projection of a portion of fact on you but what lies behind the story is what’s not covered through media in most of the cases. No matter how educated or high-ranking people become, the bond between parents and a spouse often breaks when other one dies, specially seen in the case of death of a husband because when a husband passes away, it often disrupts the family dynamics significantly, regardless of the education or social standing of those involved. The relationship between the wife and her in-laws tends to disintegrate due to various factors. These disproportionate suffering of females in these situations is largely due to patriarchal structures in society. Foremost reasons I could conclude as a #mental #health professional are economic dependence, social pressures, lack of communication and insufficient support during the #grieving period. Raising #awareness and fostering #empathy in such situations is crucial to support the surviving family members. PS- When I followed this 6 days old news I came across a different update of it which I believe is a part of social psychology.

Heartfelt tribute to the martyred Captain Anshuman Singh and his family, to other such heroes. 🫡 They indeed have a brave heart, are courageous enough to sacrifice their lives for the sake of our nation and it's people. But.... On the other hand, there are people like us. The people who don't even want to do the bare minimum. Bare minimum? Sacrificing our lives? No. It can be a simple good deed or giving up on our bad habits, being a better citizen of our beloved nation. It can be a really miniscule act - throwing waste in dustbins rather than public places; keeping our motherland clean, being humble enough to offer a seat to a pregnant lady/senior citizen/needy person, not bribing any official to get our work done, respecting people belonging to different races castes religions and ethnicities, maintaining a positive environment wherever we go, giving coworkers credit they deserve, helping strangers reach their destiny, abiding by the rules and regulations, not hurting stray animals or birds, paying applicable taxes honestly, helping our country reach socio-economic sustainability and so on. We all rant about the increasing corruption in our nation, the ongoing scams but how many of us are putting in efforts to improve it? How many of us are taking first steps? How many of us are directly/indirectly contributing to the development of our country? Harsh truth but barely 5%. What are rest doing? following the herd maybe, not caring about the significant impact it could have. We are unfortunately the citizens who will fill the roads for welcoming trophy (which is not bad at all) but remain silent when hundreds of innocent lives are being killed (which clearly is not right). We really need to realise our responsibilities, being a citizen of India and contribute to the development of our nation. The responsibility isn't just for ministers, cricketers, or defence forces; it is for each and every person who has "INDIAN" as their nationality. Development isn't just about technological advancements; it encompasses social, economic, cultural, psychological, and political aspects too. PS: I am not an influencer, neither am I willing to be one.
