Age is just a number, but this one deserves our attention! Nearly 50% of the global population aged over 60 has a disability! As our population ages, as you age….the need for accessible and inclusive environments becomes even more crucial. It's not just about ramps and lifts; it's about creating a world where everyone, regardless of age or ability, can participate fully. @ASI_Index we are committed to more inclusive communities for all including our seniors. 🌍 Transformative Solutions for Inclusive Development: Innovation for an Accessible and Equitable World 🌍 Persons with disabilities often face barriers that hinder equal access to healthcare, education, and economic opportunities. Recognized as the “world’s largest minority,” they experience higher rates of poverty and poorer health outcomes compared to those without disabilities. In alignment with the 2024 International Day of Persons with Disabilities theme, we at Aiswarya Healthcare are committed to playing our part in creating innovative healthcare solutions that bridge these gaps. By fostering accessibility and inclusivity, we aim to support a world where everyone can thrive equally, regardless of ability. 💬 Let’s work together toward a more inclusive world! #IDPD2024 #InclusiveInnovation #Healthcare #AccessibilityForAll #TransformativeSolutions #InclusiveDevelopment #EquityForAll #Healthforall

Disability goes beyond our perceptions and what we visibly recognize. While we often think of physical disabilities, the majority of disabled people have other visible or invisible disabilities—ranging from visual to hearing, sensory to cognitive, neurodiversity to mental health, and many more. These diverse accessibility needs frequently go unnoticed, limiting true inclusivity. Fewer barriers in leisure activities, education and politics – this is what the Nordic Youth Disability Summit calls for. 📢 Eight youth disability organisations from all over the Nordic region participated in the Summit and gave recommendations on how to improve inclusion in policy-making: - Politicians need to listen more. - Youth organisations can work in a proactive way and invite leaders to discussions. - Effective platforms are needed to amplify youth voices. ⛹♀️ A foundation for an inclusive community is the possibility for youth to participate in barrier free leisure activities. A Norwegian project shows that, often, only small adjustments are needed to make activities accessible. 🔗 Read more about the Nordic Youth Disability Summit: https://lnkd.in/dungzgqu Unge funksjonshemmede SAMS - Samarbetsförbundet kring funktionshinder rf SUMH Funktionsrätt Åland Nordic Youth Council The Nordic Council of Ministers and The Nordic Council #Accessibility #Inclusion #NordicYouthDisabilitySummit #NordicWelfare

Disability.Inc.’s work with Bristol’s Watershed, Bristol Beacon, and We The Curious highlights how accessible spaces attract loyal, diverse audiences. From Watershed’s accessible facilities to Bristol Beacon’s inclusive seating and We The Curious’ sensory-friendly hours, each venue shows that accessibility isn’t just right—it’s good for business too.
