Watch the children in the 1964 documentary series 7-Up. Look at the environments that they grew up in. Look at the freedom they had to move and roam. Consider the diet they ate. Rationing had finished in 1954, but food was still quite restricted and seasonal. The UK's debt problems meant that imports were relatively restricted. Compare how much life has changed. #Denmark is closing down due to sea rise. All citizens will be gradually displaced to other EU and Nordic countries, if they don't close their own borders. People of #Denmark are loosing everything... Families are split, People are loosing their jobs, Danes will not have a country any longer... This is the scenario offered by #Thomas #Vinterberg in his TV series "Families like ours" ("familier som vores") now on air in denmark. This is not just a TV series, this is also reality. This year Australia agreed that Tuvalu 11k citizens will have the right to settle in Australia in case (when) the territory disappears. The Vaughan Gething story illustrates perfectly what BBC Scotland is. It's a fake. It's no more a Scottish broadcaster than Scottish Labour or the Scottish Tories are actual parties. None of the three are real. They are limbs of the same British establishment body. "BBC Scotland won't highlight and pursue Labour hypocrisy over the Gething story because it can't. It would be akin to someone deliberately taking an axe to their own arm. Any reporter attempting to expose Labour hypocrisy would be treated as a harmful infection and cut out. The three limbs are there for one purpose. To attack the SNP and prevent independence. Labour can behave in any way it wants in England and Wales. BBC Scotland has no interest beyond Scotland. Louise sums up perfectly what I have been been feeling all day. This report must be a gamechanger. Governments must stop dismissing safety regulation as ‘red tape’, councils must start rebuilding the inhouse skills and capacity to properly hold the construction sector to account and understand what they are buying, and stop outsourcing their responsibilities to and their relationships with their tenants. We are looking to this new government to respond with appropriate anger, resolve, and change but its not just on them - we must all do better and we must never forget #Grenfell.
