When you are an adviser talking to a client about a wholesale product, telling the client the product costs 2%pa because that is what the management fee is said to be in the IM, does NOT inform the client. Explaining how the "Carried Interest" works and the fabled "other fees and costs" bucket is necessary. Particularly as these products get democratised.
