Imagining the future. Talking about what matters most when our health changes can be challenging. Imagining how our needs may evolve is difficult, but simple visuals can help open these conversations. They can bridge understanding, ease fears, and make discussions that might otherwise feel overwhelming more approachable. Palliative care experts, Dr. Kirsty Boyd and Rebecca Patterson wanted to make these conversations easier, so we worked together to create a video with clear, accessible visuals that support future care planning. After testing and refining with real audiences, the final video—funded by Marie Curie—is now available on NHS Inform, reaching people across Scotland. Watch the video: https://lnkd.in/e7fiDjH6 “We wanted accessible visuals to help people across Scotland know what anticipatory care planning (ACP) can do to help them and their families. Hazel understood the key concepts right away and worked quickly and effectively to produce an excellent resource that is now on Scotland’s public information site. This project has exceeded our expectations and I’m sure the video will have a big impact.” — Dr. Kirsty Boyd, Reader in Palliative Care, Usher Institute, The University of Edinburgh #VisualCommunication #HealthConversations #FutureCarePlanning #Scotland #MarieCurie
