How to be a product manager and create successful products that generate revenue within the first few months? I'll be discussing this in my posts. Follow and share your ideas! Currently, I'm reading "Blue Ocean Strategy." This strategy encompasses three key elements: focus, divergence, and tagline. Focus emphasizes the value to customers and what the company offers. Divergence refers to a company’s unique, distinguishing feature. The tagline connects the company to the public and communicates its focus. Have you heard about this book? #productmanagement #productdesign #illiatretnikov #jetoffice #Blueoceanstrategy

I recently completed the book "Inspired - How to Create Tech Products Customers Love" by Marty Cagan. By reading this book I was able to understand what product management is and most importantly what it is NOT. Among the many simple yet profound technology-driven techniques discussed, one particularly stood out to me: "The Power of Customer Misbehavior." This concept emphasizes the immense value in understanding the unanticipated ways customers use our products. Some of the greatest innovations emerge from observing these unexpected behaviors and learning what customers truly want to do with the product. I feel I was observing this power in action and yet not observing it in the truest sense. I can't wait to take these ideas, techniques and principles to my team and company. Thank you again Marty for sharing such gems of wisdom and knowledge. I'm so looking forward to reading "Empowered" and "Transformed" up next! #ProductManagement

“Most new products fail not because of incompetence in designing, building, or marketing, but simply because they are not what the market wants. We build It right but we don’t build The Right It – a product that enough people want or need to justify developing it.” – Alberto Savoia, the right it. For a long time now, #agile methodologies and #product mindset have been concepts that I believe I knew. Having said that, it has never been something that I could easily articulate. This #book definitely helps to break it down in very simple & understandable terms. In doing so, Alberto shares many life stories and practical advice to avoid common #innovation pitfalls, while maximizing odds to succeed in taking new #ideas to the market. Attention Product Managers! You Just Might Need A product Handbook. Have you ever felt like your customers could benefit from a guiding hand when it comes to using your product effectively? Well, it might just be time to consider creating a Product Handbook. With a comprehensive handbook, you can empower your customers to fully grasp how your product meets their unique needs. By explicitly detailing your product's features and demonstrating how it addresses their specific challenges, you're not just selling a product — you're offering a solution tailored to their requirements. But here's the beauty of it: while the handbook can serve as a one-size-fits-all guide, it's also adaptable enough to cater to your ideal customers' diverse needs. Plus, it doubles as the ultimate sales document, showcasing the value of your product and convincing potential users to jump on board. From my experience, crafting a handbook has proven invaluable in boosting active users and cultivating a community of product gurus. So, why not give it a shot? I'd love to hear your thoughts on the idea of drafting a Product Handbook. How do you think it could benefit your product and your customers? Let's start a conversation! #ProductManagement #ProductHandbook #CustomerExperience #pmchallenge

📚This last summer, I read the insightful and practical book '𝘐𝘋𝘌𝘈 𝘋𝘜𝘌 𝘋𝘐𝘓𝘐𝘎𝘌𝘕𝘊𝘌: 𝘈 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘳’𝘴 𝘎𝘶𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘐𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘝𝘢𝘭𝘶𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘮𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘈𝘷𝘰𝘪𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘞𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘌𝘧𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘵' by Phil Laufenberg. In it, I discovered (among others...) a valuable concept rooted in the causal approach, which helps industrially support and optimize both execution and product design teams. When working on a product/s, it's crucial to distinguish between addressing symptoms and solving underlying problems. This separation allows for more effective decision-making and long-term success and provides a guide to developed specific processes supporting execution and product development. In execution, we often see the immediate issues, or symptoms, that impact the product’s performance. These need to be identified and analyzed to understand their effects. However, solving the symptoms isn’t enough. By taking a causal approach, we dive deeper into the underlying problems that are responsible for these symptoms. Understanding both the “what” and the “why” is essential for sustainable success and ongoing product development. 💬 What do you think? #CausalAnalysis #ContinuousImprovement #Execution #Design
