On Monday, I joined my new colleagues Johanna Rolf and Lisa Paulick at Vireo Ventures LP Day! The energy in the room was buzzing. One moment that really stuck with me was hearing Niklas Tauch, Co-Founder and CEO of Liefergrün, share his story. He spoke openly about the highs and lows of building a company, the relentless drive it takes to keep going, and the tough calls that come with leadership. His take on layoffs—why making a decisive cut is better than dragging it out—was raw, honest, and thought-provoking. It’s an honor for us at ACE Alternatives to support Vireo Ventures in their mission to back green energy startups. The innovation and passion in this space are truly electrifying...pun intended 😆 🔥 We loved the warm fire, cozy alpine setting (and in Berlin!), and the delicious fondue.
